Max stormed off... He's really mad being behind SP for the whole weekend so far
*
RB will give team order for him. He should be more upset for not being in the front row.

Ferrari won't win any title cuz their mgmt and leadership is outsmarted by rivals. Of all places, this should have been an easy 1-2 yet somehow they managed to screw it up despite having 2 drivers performing very well in this race. They only became champ when got cunning sharp minds of Tod and Brawn at the helm. Over 2 decades ago a German acquintance who worked a lot with Italians and was a big MS and Ferrari fan said to me Ferrari will never win if headed by Italians cuz they cannot think straight and just too emotional! Lol So far his prediction still rings true.

I wonder if this is a repeat of year 2007... really close in the standings
*
I doubt so cuz SP or CS are not the level of those 3 champs in 2007. At the end I think it will still be a 2 horse race between CL vs MV, not 3 like 2007.

Prepare for another street track in 2 weeks time. BAKU. A track where most of it are on straights.
*
Baku will have overtaking, maybe RB may have advantage.

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ May 30 2022, 01:04 AM)
The cars have outgrown Monaco. Is there any sucessful overtake other than Gasly on inter while others on extreme wet?
*
Nope.

On a side note, looks like MSjr is out of his depth and would get fired sooner or later. He has been a crasher and now this huge accident should be a big hit for Haas especially during budget cap rule now.

Did Alonso cause Ocon out of the points by defending Hamilton?  hmm.gif

Alonso defense cause both him & Hamilton to race at slower pace & thus creating a queue behind them for other racers to catch up to Ocon.
*
Could be. What was the gap between Ocon and Bottas before Alonso held them up?

QUOTE(wong_86 @ May 30 2022, 10:25 AM)
My opinion Monaco should not be renew in next few years unless there track modfication, but Manaco GP is oldest in F1 history, 79 times, is a crown jewel for every F1 driver, everyone'dream is to get Monaco title.
*
Tough to modify cuz it's too tight and heavily limited by the city surroundings. Not sure if the could extend the exit after the tunnel a few hundred meters more, that might present a bit more overtaking chance.

Kinda surprising that Ferrari protested.

Back in Schumi days, he had a couple of close calls. It was even explained back then that the left/right tyre width (depending where the pit was) had to fully crossed the line to be deem illegal. If still on it, it was borderline okay.

So why are Ferrari complaining?
*
Desperation cuz the screw up the win. Lol

Perez just signed a two year contract with RB. I feel like this guy's fate in the team is to be Bottas 2.0
*
He is already like that since he joined RB and he should know what he is getting into. The fact that he has been asked to move over in Barcelona and Jos protesting about Monaco shows that SP is already a wingman role. He could only turn this around if he can outscore MV consistently.

But RB has put him in a position now where he can also fight for WCC this year. Already in P3 as of monaco
*
If he had resisted the team order in Barcelona and managed to stay in front, he would have been just 1pt behind MV and 8pts ahead of CL!

Just read that Lando is now the 3rd highest paid driver in F1 at £20m, double that of CL and even higher than FA! How good is this guy's negotiation and management team, not even won a single race but already got paid so high?!

You mean SP and CL?

SP is definitely doing very well recently. I'm also surprised how well he adjusted to the car. MV seems like LH, didnt like current gen car as much.

MV is still right up there.
