Getting Started

|
I'm expecting Ferrari to screw up strategies again tomorrow as usual.
(forgot to add Leclerc starts on softs & Hamilton starts on mediums).

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Jun 29 2019, 08:39 PM) What not competitive?? LH is just a fraction behind CL in FP3 la! MM also finished FP3 and 4 in 3rd and 4th just a few tenths from P1. I tell you they both will be there challenging for pole and wins again! Competitive? 0.2 sec behind CL and Bottas 0.5 sec behind. As I said, Top Speed helps under certain circumstances. Is Verstappen's Top Speed faster than both Mercedes?

Is Verstappen's Top Speed faster than both Mercedes? Don't count Bottas, he's not representative enough. LH 0.2 sec behind is still within the game and still considered competitive and can capitalize if CL makes a mistake or has a problem. If LH is more than 0.5 sec behind then it's not that competitive.

Last year Vettel also qualified behind and done many overtake actions, including overtook Hamilton. I bet tomorrow Vettel is the man to watch. QUOTE(sphiroth @ Jun 30 2019, 09:10 AM) Not surprised. With this I hope Ferrari gets Alonso back! Would be great to see the pairing match ups in those teams if that really happens. Would be perfect if Ric also replaces Bottas in Merc! 😀

QUOTE(sphiroth @ Jun 30 2019, 12:15 PM) The only logic I can think of is that LH gets penalized should be 5th meaning KMag should get 4th but then KMag also gets penalized so LH gets up to 4th. But the flaw in this logic is it assumes such sequence of penalties which is I think not correct too. Because KMag actually already set to get penalty first so by right LH penalty should count after KMag, meaning LH should be 5th.

That guy even give example how this is illogical if both LH and Max got 3 grid penalties.
