Imo, a technical background people like binotto as team principal is a double edge sword. Yes, he is well verse in all the technical stuff, but at the same time he seems relying too much on data which causing problems in strategies. Also, to get this year tyres working, data itself is jot enough and has to rely on driver feels too.

QUOTE(8sg9ft @ May 30 2019, 02:29 PM) Lol, apart from VB, the names considered to replace him leaves a lot to be desired. Even DR might be a better consideration than the ones named. DR is a good candidate and he was aiming for the seat before CL took it. Another worthy candidate is of course Max, however Ferrari traditionally doesn't prefer 2 young drivers pairing, so DR seems more realistic.Others honestly I don't see at the same level or worthy to replace Seb. I wish if Seb does really quit, the movement will bring back Alonso otherwise I we'd just loose another champ, and in that case I'd rather have Seb stays in F1, maybe returns to RB if he doesn't want to be with Ferrari anymore. |

Seb got an escape clause in his contract if the car is not good enough. Something must be very wrong inside ferrari that made him retired.

The thing is outside Ferrari where can he go? He can only go to Mercs if LH is not there anymore. The only other reasonable option for him is returning to RB but at this point RB is also still slower. |

QUOTE(6UE5T @ May 30 2019, 02:21 PM) Italian media said Leclerc having difficult relationship with Ferrari higher management and may forced to leave, especially triggered from Monaco drama, you believe?https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/comments/...e_relationship/ Remember year 2016 Ferrari dominated winter test and overhyped with their engine power with over-advanced ignition like diesel engine, but came to that race season they had zero win and out of championship. Year 2017 Ferrari bounced back and grabbed a few wins and was a contender for driver championship. This year same thing like year 2016 repeating, but I have confidence next year Ferrari will come back stronger This post has been edited by voscar: May 31 2019, 03:24 PM |

Imo he is fast because he takes risk... And ferrari is not a risk taking team unlike RB. I think JV has a point when he said its too early for CL, and Ferrari also not ready for young driver. Furthermore they not used to having 2 driver competing with each other. |

Takuma Sato is enjoyable to watch. Didn't realize he's already 42 & one of the top drivers in Indycar.

QUOTE The only glimmer of hope is the GP Bahrain, where Ferrari would have won if a short hadn't crept into one of the control units. In the GPS analysis, Ferrari won 8 tenths on Mercedes on the straights, but lost only half a second in the corners. Montreal is similar to Bahrain in its characteristics. Most of the track consists of straights and slow corners. In Montreal there are 14 corners on five straights. In Bahrain the ratio was 15:5. This week's hopefully Ferrari can have a good fight with Mercedes... |

QUOTE(voscar @ Jun 4 2019, 04:26 PM) The Canada track is again thought to favor Ferrari with the long straight, but I'm not putting high hopes already now especially after they failed miserably in China, Baku, and Barcelona, all which have very long straights that supposed to favor Ferrari straight line speed. |

They also got overheating problem. Seb can't even follow max closely in Monaco |

QUOTE(skylinelover @ Jun 6 2019, 11:02 AM) Haha F1 not 4 everyone I think F1 is still the pinnacle of open wheel racing and more difficult than Indy car. The chances of ex F1 still can win at least a race or two in Indy is still higher than vice versa. From F1, there were already Emerson Fittipaldi, Nigel Mansel, and Alex Zanardi who had won multiple titles in Indy, and numerous others like Sato whi are able to win races, while in the other way around only Jacques Villeneuve who won an F1 title with Montoya winning a few races, the rest failed miserably. The most obvious example was when Mansel and Michael Andretti swap in 1993. Mansel went in to win a title while Andretti got replaced mid season after being demolished by Senna. (Not his luck also he got arguably the greatest driver in F1 as a team mate).F1 reject normally shine bigger in other racing than ex F1 champ trying 2 win other racing |
