They're trounced already now! Mercs has scored perfect points aside from missing a few fastest lap points. Ferrari only has 2 podiums to show for. This time last year they're neck and neck and yet Ferrari got trounced in the 2nd half.

I don't think CL deserves the DoD. I think VB deserves it more as he managed to fend off LH. I think if not for the quali mistake CL would be able to challenge closer than SV but not sure if he can really win it unless he really got front row grid. Nobody will ever know.

I also don't buy that Ferrari is as fast as has been hyped up all this time. Even if they might be faster but by just a small margin which can easily get overturned by Mercs with better driving and strategy. I actually think Mercs is still very much on par if not the better package overall than Ferrari.

So far f1 hybrid era i think 2nd half season can be call as "Hamilton's season"! Damn, he grabbed so many points on every 2nd half and almost overturn championship with Rosberg on 2016 if not the engine failure at Sepang.

The decision to send them out on medium in Q2 is weird though.

Mercedes seems to follow text book strategy and it worked. RB usually took a gamble and it worked. Ferrari... Whatever they did... Don't seem to worked

I think Ferrari want to start with medium... thats why they send them out on Medium. And CL was fast enough with the medium to make it to Q3. Else, not much point to run on the medium with you want to start with the soft.

But I think they waited too long for CL to pit. And they said the soft can't last long. 

They should gone for aggressive 2 stop. At least it can reel up Mercedes to consider 2 stops.

In radio vettel already whine his tyres gone after 2 laps. So no matter which strategy they do its just gonna be the same.

In conspiracy theory the changes to the tyres this year favor mercedes. In not conspiracy theory other team just dont know how to make the tyres work.

Isn't this year tyre is thinner gauge which have been used on some races last year whereby Merc excels by not having blistering problem and Ferrari struggling? I think this is Merc-spec tyre.

Meanwhile Vettel has to backed-off to conserve fuel on final laps during Baku race, thus eliminating his chance of catching Merc. Vettel hass better pace on medium tyre and potentially overtake Hamilton if not of fuel usage concern. So now Ferrari have tyre problem, handling problem, fuel consumption problem, what else?

Well Binotto and few others before him!    But in case of 2 stopping, you need to have the capability to go much faster than others to capitalize and probably Ferrari knew they were not, hence doing such strategy would actually loose them even more.

why do people hate on lance stroll? sure hes a pay driver and his dad bought an f1 team but he won f3 championship and bags a podium in baku, also front row start in italy in his rookie year. if you go on a reddit post about lance stroll lots of comments will point out that his daddy buys his seat and ocon deserves his seat. quite annoying.
