I'm using kriss 100 now for work (distance usually 60km pegi balik but sometimes can be 140km pegi balik, depend on certain days) but it is obvious that the bike now has aged as I just spent nearly rm500 to 700 something (recently the piston was broken & changed to new one, plus some other parts were replaced, but forgot what are they) That kriss has served me since my degree years ( that bike was bought in 2008). I think it is already time for me to buy a new bike. However, this is my first time buying my own bike. That kriss was actually given to me from my dad since he has LC for quite some time.

I already narrowed my choice to either lagenda 11z & honda wave dash, which both are the fi version. I was offered nearly the same otr price for both (more or less the same) by several shops nearby my area. Plus, both are within my budget. My concerns are; how both of them perform? Top speed? maintenance? Durability? Handling characteristics? I really need to know the pros & cons of these 2 bikes.

Some of my friends suggest me to get honda wave but the bike shops they recommend me to get lagenda 115z. I got pening already which one is good for me.. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

I'm more inclined towards honda wave dash, but i keep on hearing people saying honda nowadays not as durable like the old model.. Even the honda wave model got cover set gegar issue from what I read somewhere ( somebody need to rectify this?? ) I also read somewhere that the top speed is like 100km/h max & need to change sprocket if wanna go up more ( like to 110km/h??). Is this true??

Regarding the lagenda 115z, my concern is the maintenance cost since it also has oil filter which might add to the regular service cost.. People also said that lagenda speed up better and top speed max better than honda wave without needing to change anything.. Is this true?

I really hope that somebody can shed some light about these 2 bikes.

Previously use 1st model kriss 110.
Now use wave 125 fi.
So far no issue. Just cruising 80kmh only.
Wave dash should be ok.

Thanks for your input! smile.gif I also can stretch my bajet a bit to get that wave 125i since the price difference is like rm300 to 400 from wave dash. but i'm worried that my regular bike repair shop said that the honda future 125 not as durable like the wave dash 110 one. He said he handled some cases of engine problem with future 125... I dunno if this still the case with wave 125i.. since future fi was just renamed to wave 125i.. blink.gif blink.gif He said better get the wave dash one instead..

Then choose one that you like.

Honda = Nice colour
Yamaha = Nice design

Yup, I agree with u. It will eventually come to either color or design choice. I'm just torn which one is better to get. I'm afraid I might regret later if I buy either one & then discovered something which I could research first. Plus, I'm going to buy new bike cash. Sure need to make wise decision to avoid regretting later.

Thanks for your input! smile.gif I dont think top speed is really an issue since I'm not always going full throttle all the time. Mostly 80 or 90 like with my current kriss. But if can go up more is better but not as important as stable smooth ride. As long as no other major issue, wave dash still can be considered, despite still might need to accept that coverset gegar issue. hmm.gif

I just need inputs from lagenda 115z owners now.

dash looks nicer imho, but if reliabilty is your concern, yamaha. better handling too. all honda moped using soft absorber, leading to terrible handling.

ex5 durable days are long gone....even the coverset vibrates like sybian.

Using lagenda 115 now. Quite a decent bike with good fc. For mine usage(mainly short distance 5-10km) can get about 50km/L. Pick up is ok as long as you din bring a heavy pillion and top speed i achieved is almost 100 and don't dare to full full throttle. Definetely can go some more and it can cruising at 80-90 without begat except when the wind is very strong. Engine vibration at that speed can be felt if u r a very sensitive person
That just my 2 cent hope it help

Thanks for your short review! smile.gif I bet the slight vibration of engine when cruising at high speed is considered normal imho. Engine vibration is still okay, but cover set vibration is something a bit concerning though as mentioned by previous comment here regarding how annoying it can be, unless u have to pretend deaf towards the sound. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Is that otr price? blink.gif If so, that's a good deal indeed. So far, based on my recent survey at my nearby bike shops, most shops offered price range between rm6.5k to rm 6.7k for wave125i/ future fi ( wave125i will cost more than future fi since it is the recent model)

If not becoz of its aesthetic design which I dislike, I might get that wave 125i instead due to higher cc.. I have decided to get wave dash by next week. I like the repsol edition (that orange repsol paint is obviously nice rclxms.gif ) but the price difference is like rm400 to 500 from the standard single disc edition. blink.gif Thus, I would take the type-s single disc model instead due to tight budget. sweat.gif

Hm.. I dunno how u define cheap within your budget range.. sweat.gif But the cheapest bike u can get most probably kriss mr1. I dunno what else is cheap. Maybe demak EX-90 or Sym ESR 110 which both are based on the infamous honda ex5 perhaps? hmm.gif
