Do ppl usually hire ROM photography/videography services? If yes, how much is it? My ROM is in 2018 & 7 months apart from my wedding reception. Any advise?

Why not. To me i think it's more important than Pre Wedding photo shoot. But in reality who wants to fork out a few hundred or thousand buck for photography and video service just for that 1 or 2 hours of ceremony. Unless if you are planning to take lots of family photos, friends photos and couple portraits around the venue and plan it in such a way that you can use those as your pre wedding photos then it makes sense spending that money. In the end is your money and if you feel it's important than who cares what other people thinks. It's almost the same as some couples asking whether is it necessary to hire a professional photographer for their proposal ceremony or engagement ceremony. Is really up to you. If you have the financial, by all means of course. I guess this will be the least of your consideration when your wedding is getting near and there will be more harder decisions that you have to make. Anyway just enjoy the whole wedding planning process and maybe you should vlog about it. How i wish I knew about vlogging few years back when I had my wedding.

Thanks for the advice! I do think that ROM is rather important as well. Hope to find one that suits my budget.
