1) new kawai ND21

err... does that mean kawai also must check if is dibuat jepun or indonesia!!!!

IMHO, there are diff in quality between jepun and indonesia, including china. as production cost increases somebody got to look for a new location that can produce with lower production costs that will allow them to be competitive in the market.

is just how piano industry shift to asia in the past. if not because of japanese, piano will still consider to be a rich man toy.. japanese invasion 50-60s, followed by korea in the 80-90s.. the raising cost of korea in 90s moved production to indonesia and china. then 2000s new economic emergence of china resulted in a new wave of low-priced (affordable pianos).

situation in china is also rapidly improving as the chinese become accustomed to western ways of doing business and both technical and musical qualities have taken big leaps forward due to their aggressive mentality in acquiring piano making knowledge with the western and also understand what is quality and have been more focused on quality control.
