U should do regular back-up, defrag, empty the space and maintenance... |

If have to choose only between these 2. Then will go for Note 8. Since money isn't the key factor, next year you can just get new note 9, note X or whatever.
Honestly, I personally will go for Mate 10. 5k++ for a smartphone just make the buyer doesn't looks smart enough for me. |

Not for me, hate using gestures to control everything. Even the older iPhones appeal to me more than iPhone X.

( maybe samsung phone doesn't like me lol ) I admit old Samsung is bad. But you can't judge the whole brand anymore by bringing Note 3/S3 in argument.so i went for iphone 5&6 ( both i used nvr hang , maybe just me ) and last year i bought a huawei mate 9 and also it doesn't hang. Samsung changed so much since S6 and their phone becoming more reliable in term of speed & overall package. I'm confident phone like S8 & Note 8 can easily serve the owner really well for more than 2 years. |

One question, does Samsung Note 8 able to survive for the next 2 years? (In terms of mobile lifespan)

QUOTE(touristking @ Nov 4 2017, 07:11 PM) For non-productivity use, I reckon I would go for iPhone. I'm agree with this...For productivity usage, I would go for Note 8. Once you know what a S Pen can do to increase your productivity, for some people, there is no going back. And easier transfer of files of Android is useful. For work, Note 8 is the best. easier to transfer file in and out. No needs to bring in thumb drive anymore If you want to keep a lot of photo... I mean 20,000 and more photos iphone is better But you needs to sync it with your mac.. my current ipad pro sync 25k photos |

Another vote for Note 8.
It all boils down to which OS (android or ios) you would like to use. Both camera's performance is almost the same except iphoneX can record 4k60p. Screen wise, Note 8 wins. Battery life, subjective, but i see some reviews in Youtube that the Note 8's battery life is slightly better than iphone X. In terms of value for money, confirm Note 8. Iphone X's design is very new, may bound to have design flaws, manufacturing defects. In terms of software updates, iphone is better than samsung as samsung only provide 2/ 3 years updates. However, even though iphone receives the latest updates, eventually it will slow down the iphone in 2 to 3 years time. Either TS purchase Note 8 or Iphone X, you'll get the latest flagship phone for 2017. Cheers. Enjoy your flagship smartphone =D |

QUOTE(Reverence @ Oct 8 2017, 06:13 AM) I have the same dilemma as well. Note 8 looks absolutely gorgeous and it also has expandable storage. The iPhone X has an ugly notch but amazing speakers compared to the Note 8's mono speaker. Iris scanner is also the pros for Note 8. I'm using iris scanner most of the time on my Note FE. Damn convenient and fast AF. No twins or clone can unlock iris scanner.Galaxy Note 8 Pros: - Simply gorgeous design - Expendable Storage - Beautiful screen - S-pen (if you're even into it) - Fast charging feature will be included out of the box just as all flagship Android phones. - Touch ID still in place - Great camera - Good battery life - Headphone jack - Wireless Charging Apple's iPhone X Pros: - A Super AMOLED display at last - The A11 Bionic chip rivals even that of a MacBook (basic). - iOS is the definition of simplicity at it's finest - Great dual speakers - Face ID - Animoji - Fast charging - Great camera - Wireless Charging - Constant software updates Galaxy Note 8 cons: - Crap mono speaker (quite a big deal for me) - Non stock Android phones are infamous for bloatwares. You have to know how to turn them off manually or your phone will gradually slow down. - Price. The note 8 isn't even 5% increase in performance in comparison to it's sisters the S8 and S8+. It's only a tiny bit larger than the S8+. You're basically paying 800 dollars more for an S-Pen and it's features. - Crappy touch ID design and placement. Apple's iPhone X cons: - Disgusting looking notch. For a premium price phone, that's quite unacceptable in my opinion. - iOS customization. iOS is clean and bloatware free but you're limited in customization as a trade off. - Fast charging feature is not available out of the box. You have to buy their adapter separately or use your MacBook's if you already have one. - Price. You're gonna fork out at least RM5000 for this device. That's not including the accessories that you will want to have like charger and phone protection. - Lightning cable. Apple being Apple. Still too stubborn to switch the more mainstream and powerful cable (USB Type C) so they can milk out more sales from adapters. - Face ID is still quite a young technology so it can be quite iffy. It failed to function during launch day which is pretty embarrassing for Apple. - No headphone jack TL;DR My heart tells me I should get the Note 8 because it looks stunning AF but I'm not too sure if I want to pay 800 dollars more when S8+ is 90% of the same thing with crap speaker. My head tells me I should get the iPhone X because it's an iPhone. Everyone knows an iPhone has a good resale value, not to mention it's A11 Bionic chip is freaking 2 generations ahead of the most powerful Android processors of today. My advice to you is.... if money truly isn't an issue to you and you want longevity, get the iPhone X. To this day Apple still provides iOS support for the iPhone 4S. Don't like iOS or frustrated with Face ID? Sell the X and get the Note 8, or go for the Pixel XL 2 for pure Android experience. Just my two cents. |

Your resolution will be downgrade to max 16 megapixel. For some people to keep the actual photo resolution is important. I also have few thousand not important photo from my works store in google photos. All photo taking using DSLR will be sync to iphone or ipad using mac. |

Coz both of these can't be fooled by twins or any of your lookalikes. So what I did was, sign in using finger print. Sign into Secure Folder only by Iris scanner. So double "lock" |
