 HELP! year not able to change back..always 1994, after format use others HDD and reset cm

year not able to change..always 1994..and restart go to bios is 2094..
problem...
use new HDD still same...
format same...
reseat cmos battery also same
help ahHHHhhhh

mobo: gigabyte 966gm-s2...
should not be cmos battery problem..
when reseat cmos battery will go back to 2006 since manufacture on 2006
now window show 1994 and bios show 2094 bcoz my bioz start from 2006 only...
any 1 face b4..?

Okay, they say it's the battery problem, and I would that too. Change the battery. If problem still occurs after replacing it with a fresh battery, I suggest you go to Gigabyte website and get the latest copy of the BIOS of your motherboard, and flash the new BIOS onto your mobo.

Let's see what will happen after that.

ok thanks all....
what i know is when cmos battery problem...just error when u reboot ur system..
currently my status is totaly cant change the date..when change back to 2007 it back to 1994 immediately...
anyway i'll try change the cmos battery..

thanks...i'll try it on tomorrow..heheh since no batt now..
so pening..due to reinstall XP also got problem during validate...

Malware, most probably... If changing of CMOS battery and RESET of BIOS data doesn't work, it is most likely malware. Period. Post a HijackThis Log at Technical Support. Helpers will help you accordingly. Cheers!

problem solve

- format to win 2k and format back to win XP(diffrent CD fom the 1st time i use...)
- when reboot hav problem log in...so format 1 more time...
currently OK....
