I know the simple way is open up the drain cover and slot the drain opening in but that would leave a big opening. some people cut a hole at the center of the cover to fit the pipe but for metal cover you need special cutter.

is there a special METAL Cover that comes with precut hole to fit the standard pipe, but also allows water on the floor to still flow into the drain like normal drain?

Drain trap or floor trap with washing machine drain hose attachment or receptacle. The problem is most types I've seen in the past are for 4x4" drain traps. If anyone finds a 6x6" please post a link.

hi, ironically, it's just called Drain Cover. just add Stainless Steel + "Washer" or "Washing" in your search.

On Lazada they have this brand RuYiYu that sells 3 types of feeders, but doesn't include the square sides. most drains here have the hinge thing on 1 side for opening & closing so i guess this type won't fit unless you get the frame.

And I saw 1 similar to what you posted Complete with feeder & frame in Homepro for around rm55+.

All 3 types mentioned has 3 layers, top cover, bottom slot & middle slot. i think the middle slots will reduce the opening for smoother flow but it's also possible depending on your washer, that the reduced opening might cause backsplash. But if that happens, i think you can just remove the middle parts and use the frame + top cover. as long you don't stand on it i think it should work. if you wash the floor, water can enter the drain normally without the middle parts.

One purpose for the middle part i think is for odorless.

but my question is how to remove the old drain including the frame as i believe they are cemented?

and how to install the new frame? since the original sides already have cement, won't adding new cement means the new frame might not level properly with the floor?

and finally you add silicone on the edges?

As mentioned these are meant for 4"x4" whilst here prevalent is 6"x6". They are floor traps with washing machine drain hose attachmemt but on Lazada the vendors probably used a loose translation. A friend had installed before and it can be bought even from some bath and sanitary ware shops. He has to redo that trap via a contractor who renovated his home.

A tile layer can do this easily. They usually have the tool to gouge the flooring beneath the old grating to the desired depth, apply water proofing for that portion again before re-laying. The usual ones are too thin and bends easily even stepped upon with the heel.

mines already metal, but i want to change it so can fit washer drain. when they gouge, how to prevent the debris from falling into the drain and potentially clog the drain?

Metal or otherwise doesn't matter. They will use a cloth and newspaper combo to cover the hole. Fine dust can't avoid. Just flush lots. The trick is also to have tiles of the same type just in case it gets damaged but if not too deep, grouting can cover.
