Are you guys doing this after warranty is over? Or while the warranty is still active?

Man, spend so much on a bloody console only to live in fear everyday that the damn 3ROD will happen. What a bloody curse!

Microsoft should be bloody tortured for this nonsense.

A good article explaining the design flaw on X360. Damn the gpu temp raise up to 100C when gaming  doh.gif . WTF M$. No wonder all those 3ROD cases are related to the gpu.  mad.gif

That's why there are some revived 3ROD cases using the xclamp replacement method got hit with 3ROD again due to the excessive heat dissipate from the gpu.

The hot air/heat from the gpu must be taken out quickly (that's why the rear fans must be supplied with 7V/12V dc instead of the default 5V dc) and a fresh/cool air must be taken into the case (an additional fan is needed to do the task). A modded gpu fan duct is needed so that the hot air is concentrated to be pulled out quickly so as for the fresh air to be sucked in quickly.

I'm thinking of the best way to do this without cutting the case.

That's exactly what needs to be done. Hot air expelled, and fresh/cool air sucked into the case. Is it possible to do without cutting the case tot31?

Another thing would be to drill the console with holes all over the place. That would be one way of getting the heat out. Numerous escape holes.

Wait 3 months before sending it back if warranty allows it, and I'm sure you'll get something decent back.,

That is amazing man. It's working and you've got the rod. I suggest sending it back for warranty. No matter what.

No, let's all gather around. You buy a nice wooden bat (for basketball) and attack the 360. Like from the movie "Office Space" when they attacked the printer.

I guess I am not the only 1 here..try go through all HD-DVD forum in the Internet..we've been spitted and kicked-butt by those BD fans....for a marketing gimmick of Sony..HD-DVD is Dead..and only stupid people will buy it...and Now..Guess..It's the rite time...to repay the unDue DebTs...Peace To ALL... icon_rolleyes.gif

Br0, relax. I know how you feel. It certainly looks like HD-DVD has receive some very strong backing in the past day or so. Let's see what Blu-Ray comes up with next. I personally don't see the need for double formats running around. HD-DVD is more affordable, easier to produce and mass manufacture. Blu-Ray is more expensive, more capacity, etc.

Well, let's hope it's just one defect! No one else has complained so far. Maybe that fella didn't place it properly, etc.

I doubt on his statement ..since he only has 2 posts...and there is no picture in his posts too..and furthermore....he did mention that he wished that he bought PS3 earlier..hmmm..sounds fishy to me on the sincerity of his post...

Send it back to the shop you bought it from. If it's modded then you definitely can't send it back to Microsoft.
