Hmmm....today i just got 2 time of 3ROD shown. This is all started rite after i updated the latest xbox live update, then after the 360 automatically restarted, it got hung few times when the xbox logo screen was loading, then few times at the blades menu and few times after went into GOW game menu or in the game, graphic ripped with square boxes, its still happend after severals restarts and finally it went back normally. After since the update, almost everyday i have to restart and get hung for several times (5-8times) then only im able to play for hours without anything happend..today it happend again and i got 3ROD for twice but WITHOUT ANY ERROR CODE!!!!! can somebody help me

is ur console modded?

And i leave it and now (after 2hours) i tested same 3Rod again but the last trial did boot it up...btw how did u all get the error code from?

For error code, during 3ROD, at the console, push the small button (do not let it go) beside the memory slot B and eject button, then release the eject button, keep pushing the eject button for 4 times (including the first 1). Observe the ring of lights... 4 ROL =0 , 1 ROL=1...etc

Just for the record, I bought mine on 2 December 06.
3ROD date: 17 May. lol not even 1 year.

On a side note, I have not been playing the 360 as much as I used to... for about 1 month. (like everyday, at least 4 hours). Maybe djinn's research is true after all. (i.e. many who got the 3rod seldom play their 360)

...or it's just a coincidence.

2,3 days is bearable.. hehehe.


oh and... there are some contents on my hdd that can only be played on 1 console (according to microsoft's t&c) such as those Oblivion add-ons. How do I get these to work on a replacement console? I've read about it somewhere but I can't recall.

ive already told u if i not mistaken...about the disc scratching alike sound...Hmmm maybe that is one symptom..

if im not mistaken, the only way u play those games are thru xbox live.....in other words, u cant play offline......

the sound happened when u playing, juz into dashboard...like that..suddenly only the sound come like it is forcing it to stop the disc...

Emmm....mine after yesterday midnite , i formatted the HDD and rebooted and re-run the update , all done...today nothing happend ....wonder what was really happend. Any idea?

ooo...ok.....i take note about that......

..it just that whenever i switch on my 360, it makes weird sound.......but its only like 1/2 second only.........

my problem last time(my previous 360) was that it does scratch the disc (especially the one that develop/produce/endorsed) by MS.........weird huh........

Mine died today. Damn it. After about 1.5 years, it finally decides to gimme the 3ROD. Oh well, I sent it to Jason. Hopefully he'll be able to revive it. Djinn if u're reading this..please try your best ok?
