Do you want it back tonight? Then you can still enjoy a few sessions of chainsaw-ing and rest easy with your xbox360 downloading contents from the marketplace

If you have actually replace the x-clamps and still the problem persists, then i think i cant help it also. I think i will pass QUOTE(silencer @ May 11 2007, 08:47 PM) Definitely yes....wow..that fast....will sms u...make sure that i can collect it near to your place..so ..it wont be a hassle for u to drive to lrt station...Your Service Now is Officially Highly Recommended here.... Erm.. my place is actually very near the LRT station and it will be a hassle for you to look for my house, so i guess it will be convenient for both of us to just meet at the same place later? But then can you wait erm.. a bit further before the station so that i doesnt have to go throught the station to get back to the highway? QUOTE(shumaky @ May 12 2007, 08:23 AM) Mine is still on vertical.. b4 and after zombie mode. Actually if you put it vertically, the heatsinks might be providing a bit of a downforce on the mobo. This is because it is not attach to the metal casing as it used to be. So it will only be attached to the mobo. By putting it vertically, the weight of the heatsinks will heavily result in a downwards force wholly suffered by the mobo.I never like the horizontal look, summore the heat easier to release when its in vertical stance. QUOTE(silencer @ May 12 2007, 08:26 AM) Problem solved..thnx to virgil....for his excellence svc...his xclamp replacement method involves drilling....going to re-arrange my xbox 360....by the way..did the stress teat for 6 hours..(havent slept yet)..it works marvelous.....thnx virgil .... Hey hey no problem! Its all for the sake of the LIVE community. This post has been edited by -= Virgil =-: May 12 2007, 08:53 AM |

QUOTE(Hitman190 @ May 13 2007, 05:00 PM) hey guys bad news...my first 360 got 3RODed again.. If you will let me, can i have a look at the post-x-clamps-replaced console which got 3rod?I tried to test it out cause i haven't played in nearly three weeks so i decided to give it a warm up and play a few games on it...then after 15 minutes or so the picture ripped...then i knew what happened..3ROD.... Bossman Tot31 fixed it with the x clamp method some time ago...but i think after the long period of inactivity the ROD came back to haunt me... So if anyone can help me resolve this problem even with the x clamp fix that unfortunately didnt work for me for long just PM me... Me sad |

QUOTE(JEHUTHI @ May 18 2007, 09:44 PM) Mine error code is 0110, is it the same as 0102 ?? I have fixed just ONCE error 0110 with the x-clamps replacement method and it work out fine... i will have to confirm with the owner of the console later again for any symptoms of 3ROL, just to be sure. I think is time to try X clamp replacement method. |

QUOTE(JEHUTHI @ May 18 2007, 10:01 PM) I had tried some of the methods which can be found online, except the toothpick, eraser & X clamp. I found that when I tried the towel method, my 360 can work but will hang afterward, then 3 rod again. (2 times already) |

Bro Silencer plz update :-
1 Xbox360 error 0020 3ROD fixed - By Virgil Console belong to grandhiz Thanks! This is probably the hardest-to-fix console for me. It didnt respond well after the x-clamps got replaced and still persists to show me the 3rol. I did the whole operation another time, cleaning the heatsink & the GPU/CPU chips again. Putting fresh thermal paste again, and the 3rol still lights up. After a few tries, i finally got it worked up and is undergoing some heavy stress test at the moment. QUOTE(Xrossfire @ May 20 2007, 05:14 PM) Error 0021 DVD Drive Time out - Can be caused by problems with a firmware flash. This is also speculated to sometime be caused by a problem with the southbridge chipset on the motherboard.I doubt that removing the x-clamps will solve this problem but then only m$ knows (do they?!). Error E74 which is a VGA cable error also can be fixed using the x-clamps replacement method so you can actually try it, no harm to your console anyway. |

QUOTE(sauying @ May 21 2007, 09:20 PM) does virgil provide 100% fix ?? because it fixed by someone b4, There wont be a 100% fix as long as the 3RoL is still an unknown error like the 0020 and 1020 errors or even the E74 1RoL, you cant really say that it is the fault of the video cable in the case of E74 as i did the operation and it works like a charm.. not forgetting the 0110 error too... it's works like charm after service, but now hang liao ... 0020 (Not yet known, possibly overheating) 0102 unknown error E74 AV cable error... 0110 Memory Error / Memory Overheating But then if your console hasnt undergo the x-clamps removal, then i strongly suggest you opt for it. Tough luck but then i have high hopes that it can be fixed. |

QUOTE(Gurdian @ May 23 2007, 04:50 PM) update on my 3ROL status. You got PM! after a few days of leaving it off, my 0102 has now evolved to 0020 What I noticed about 0020 errors is that the 3ROL appears almost IMMEDIATELY upon switching on the console where else the 3ROL of 0102 errors need approximately 3-5 secs before the 3ROL appears. Anyway, currently it's jumped back to 0102 again. Enough is enough... Virgil! I summon thee from the graves of 3ROL using the blood of young virgins! APPEAR! ...when can meet ar bro...I'm at SS1, how's Tmn Bhg station sound? |

Well, some consoles out there are still alive and kicking not experiencing a 3rol before, which means that it is still something that is not inevitable |

QUOTE(xxboxx @ May 24 2007, 03:06 PM) dun, worry, i PM with grandhiz already. but now his console come back alive. now his console come back alive. The console is extremely sensitive as i have spend 3 days to tune it to the right pressure to get it working. Probably the "smacking-the-console" trick might keep it alive eh Anyway katana, thank you so much for helping out.. cant thank you enough This post has been edited by -= Virgil =-: May 24 2007, 03:11 PM |

QUOTE(Great_Cookie @ May 24 2007, 03:42 PM) Does anyone have any lobang for 360 X-clamp repairs in JB? My 360 died last month and I've been lifeless (and live-less) ever since You got PM!! Or if not JB, then VIRGIL!!! Can PM me details!!! QUOTE(DjiNn @ May 24 2007, 03:28 PM) lol.. actually the "pressure" of all xbox is wierd though.. Yea, i have seen a few consoles that i fix with the x-clamps already loosen out. I just need to peel it off with my hands rather than using the long nose plier to use extreme force to pull it out some I just test it for fun.. without removing the x clamp. but just by pressing the xclamp (applying super uber amount of force) on to it. then the dead is alive the most serious xbox 360 clamp is welwatchia .. Even before taking out the x clamp one of the legs is actually already "loosen" out... I guess more cooling is needed in that white box eh This post has been edited by -= Virgil =-: May 24 2007, 04:31 PM |
