Need some expert opinion. I did the xclamp removal to revive my dead box, and it works... for less than 5 min. After that a 2ROD flashing. The 2ROD indicates overheat right? So what actually is the cause of the overheating? is it because I put too much thermal paste, or too little?
Im using cooler master nano by the way. |

Doesnt matter what thermal paste you use.Im using cooler master nano by the way. Probably it is too much And make sure that the heatsinks are firmly attached to the GPU/CPU chips. Thanks man. I think im using the suggested amount (rice grain size) of thermal paste. So how much actually you have to use? Should I put it untill all writing on the cpu/gpu disappear or just enough where you can still see the writing?

Should I put it untill all writing on the cpu/gpu disappear or just enough where you can still see the writing? Just unscrew back all the GPU and CPU heat sink and screw it back properly. for CPU, turn the board upside down and press the CPU heatsink under flat surface. Then firmly push the center of the CPU chip and screw all 4 corner evenly. For GPU try find any object that higher that the CPU heat sink and press it directly at the GPU heat sink.. do the same on 4 GPU screw. 2ROD after boot up indicates poor contact between the chip and heat sink (thus resulting overheating indication). Happen to me several time and after readjust the pressure screw everything work fine. |
