after 1 year 1 month, my console succumbed to 3ROD sad.gif

trying to cool it down as a last resort.. if cannot means I have to send for repair sad.gif

how to check error code? mine doesn't even turn on anymore sad.gif

on a second thought, maybe my power supply overheated, because the light was red.

Red or orange? if orange means your console is not on.

Of course I know that. doh.gif

Well I cooled both the Xbox and PSU for a few hours under aircond and it's still showing 3ROD, so it's as good as dead. sad.gif

For those who already your console to me I will try my best to revive it and will let you all know soon.

I'm very sorry because of my nature of work now I have very limited time to concentrate of 360 repair.

If anybody wanna some advise just drop me a PM and I will try my best to help.

a 3ROD console is still able to boot up right? as in the fans will spin and all.

I think my 3ROD is caused by the PSU. did a test on it and all the 12V pins weren't working, only the 5V one. going to test another one tomorrow.

wish me luck!

Like i said, if you dont want to help, just shut your mouth. Your Im-so-smart-others-are-stupid-noobs attitude makes this section looks lame. Anyway, whatever.

I think the so-called NOS mod is just the 12V fan mod or maybe an extra fan with fan vents shrouding.

Correct me if i am wrong, bro rezalida smile.gif

He do the 12v fan mod and add extra fan and also do paper board air duct for air flow to GPU heatsink.

wow..

tongue.gif ok for all wanna know. NOS mod is actually a combination of several mod. Like bro Virgil say yes part of the mod is to convert the original 5V fan to be direct feed with 12V source.

But what a real deal inside the nos mod is to add the xtra 50mm 12V fan directly to blow an air to the GPU heat sink. In addition there also a customize air tunnel from the xtra fan being add to make sure the air goes direct to the GPU heat sink itself.

not forgotten also the important divider in between the original 5V fan cover to make sure each chipset get their individual fan to suck hot air out of th system.

In addition, the nos mod also include the metal casing cutting and also console cutting to make better air flow to the system.

take a look at this picture earlier I have post to get a better view: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/442461/+1920

Hope this help. thumbup.gif

I tested out another power brick and my console is fine!

However, a power brick cost more than the x-clamp fix. sigh...
