i thought your xbox360 console is using watercooling mod is it not??how come watercooling can still kena 3rod

I hav had twice 3RODS, now after 3rd repair,game hangs but no 3RODs. This is frustrating. Then found this shop in Penang. He said my 3RODS is repaired but not killed. He claimed he can kill the problem by replacing the motherboard. He had done to numerous customers so far till now no returns.

I would like to know from all sifus here whether u heard of this method???Is it workable?? He is charging a whopping RM450.00 with 3 months warranty and original motherboard replacement.

I wouldn want to be ripped off. I had seriously thought of buying a new 360 arcade or core system...Pls advise..

confirm it will be workable, he can just fix a 3 rod machine and swap the motherboard with you only what.

dont call me sensei la. 0022 i unable to fix only manage to boot up a sec then hang again. end up wasting my time.

so i give this 2 console ( 0022 and 0110 ) back to my customer and they crying going back home.

I've been using it for about 3 weeks and then it starts to kaput again...oh well.I guessed something is already on it's way out on the mobo during all this time and it's a matter of time it completely dies.should have done this earlier(on new consoles) in order to prevent the damage from spreading out.To answer your questions,I use an external pc psu to power up the extra fans.As for the dvd drive cable,i use pc sata cable.The dvd drive power cable is short but just enough to reach to the outside.

Anybody here maybe knows a cheap mobo replacement(a falcon maybe?).Does anybody here already have 360 with the falcon revision mobo?Any reports on RROD for falcon(besides the 2 red/2 green lights)?Thanks for your input.

Does the falcon model already available here? if so then where can get one?

i say on ebay that cost rm7++.++ excluding shipment..
another few hundred can get new one.arcade package cheaper.

I don't know if falcon revision 360 is already here in Malaysia.Reports says that,the new falcon 360 was sighted with the new Halo 3 SE package and the one with Forza2 & MUA game bundles.Here's a couple of things to identify the new 360:

Although the new 360 uses cooler cpu(65nm),the gpu is still the old 90nm chip.Maybe if the cpu is cooler,less heat will build up along with the gpu and hopefully will prevent hardware failure from happening.We still yet have to see whether this new model still rrod or not and only time could tell us that.Should we get this falcon model or should we wait for the upcoming jasper(65nm cpu and gpu) model in august 2008?Frankly,i can't wait that long because most hottest games(RE5,DMC4,NG2,VF5) are about to release in 2 or 3 months from now.We need a working xbox360 for at least 3 years.Mine totally died after about 11 months......damn m$,fix your stuffs or get out of the business Now I have a very expensive door stopper in my room.

yeah you're right about that.geram maaaa .I just wanted to buy another 360 but tak jadi because I'm afraid that it will kaput less than a year later or maybe shorter terms.

3 years warranties seem to be great deal to me..

My console last for 6 months.. and send back to MS..
still got 2 years+ and yet free 1 month live
