I understand this is a new combo plan (cellular number + home fibre) and the cellular monthly commitment starts at RM188, but unlike the MaxisONE Plan 188 that comes with 50GB data, this RM188 plan under MaxisONE PRIME is supposed to come with unlimited data ? But I also read in the T&C that Maxis may impose a speed cap on video streaming at its own discretion should the total monthly data usage exceeds 300GB/month ?

Can anyone from Maxis please walk us through this plan ? Such as features, what does unlimited data means ? Does unlimited data applies to the cellular number as well as we all know Maxis Home Fibre does come with unlimited internet by default.

The Maxis One Plan 188 & Maxis One Prime are under different package/plan although the monthly price are the same (RM188/mth).
As I know, in order to be eligible to have the Maxis One Prime line, you must have both Maxis Fibre & Mobile line with Maxis, it will be joined under the same account.

As per T&C: If the combined mobile data usage of your principal line and your shared lines exceed 300GB in a month, Maxis may at its absolute discretion limit the quality of video streaming to standard definition during peak hours.

I have called & spoke with the Maxis staff, even after exceeded the 300GB data, they will only managed the video streaming, capped at 480p definition during peak hours. No limitation or speed capped for other website/application. This 300GB video streaming is for 4G mobile data only, not for fibre.

This new plan only benefit those who are currently subscribed to Maxis One 188. For example, I am on Maxis One 158 and Maxis Home Fiber 50. My current 40GB data usage on my Maxis One 158 is more than enough. As such, there is no benefit for me to subscribe to this new plan.

Say if I am currently on Maxis One 188 plan, there is also no benefit to change to this plan as I will still pay RM188 (Maxis One 188) + RM219 (Maxis Fiber 50). Maxis should at least offer a discount if you combine your Mobile and Home Fiber Plan.

It may benefit you if you are on Maxis One 188 and consume more than 50GB data a month but I think this is just a small population only.

The other benefit they claim to offer is zero downtime on Maxis Fiber as it has a built-in 4G sim card that will be activated if Maxis Fibre is down. Are they saying that their Maxis Fibre is unreliable and frequent down time is expected?

I am really interested with this plan. But there is one problem. My area don’t have fibre. If my area have it I will subscribe it immediately.
I am impressed with what Maxis is doing with their internet. It is so extremely fast. I got 200 Mbps in my area which is quite shocking.
But please turn on the VoLTE and VoWiFi feature. Loving it using on Digi. Still can make calls in no signal area zone just using WiFi and better call quality on VoLTE.

Really frustrated when @maxis impose such important clause under the t&c, you might as well don't say unlimited because majority data usually is for watching video

Signed up for Maxis Prime with 50Mbps Fiber today after they revised the pricing last few days. So, I upgraded to 188 Plan and kept my 50Mbps Fiber. I now have unlimited data for phone and fiber, new router with SIM card and I save RM10 per month. If I didn't sign for Prime, I will still be on 40GB mobile data and still pay more for both mobile and fiber.

One is Digi Postpaid 110 and another one is Hotlink.

Anyone want to have unlimited mobile data n calls , pls m me.

Am thinking of subscribing the rm129 fiber + mobile, really can get rm1 phone? Any catch? Don't really trust Maxshit or in fact any other telcos.

It is fully combined with your router.
If Maxis detects that your fibre and 4G backup run at the same time, they will charge an extra to your bill.
