F800 Pro have buffered parking mode smile.gif

I bought my F800 Pro with 64GB microSD from Sicurez and DIY installed it.

The cloud notifications work but need to have a hotspot in the car so that the F800 Pro can connect to for internet access.

Another question, do you use the sd card thinkware provided or can we use the regular micro sd card?
Seem like the price is pretty steep just for the 16gb price compared to the 128gb. Almost rm600 ,
Lazada 128gb card is just around rm150

Any special feature in the original thinkware sdcard?

Thinkware microSD cards are all tested to work with their dashcams and all are using MLC chips. MLC chips are known for their durability.

Not TLC chips based microSD which you can get cheap in the market. TLC chip microSD might last you a year or so if used in a dashcam.

You can get other dashcams which use the ciggie port for power instead of tapping from the fusebox. Like the Viofo A129 for dual dashcam.

I think it's a terrible waste to get Korean dashcam with great parking mode and not use it in the first place.

Another way is to add a battery to power the dashcam during normal usage and parking mode. The battery will be charged by the ciggie port when engine starts.

thanks and it was your earlier posting that got me curious on the options/solutions. but if thinkware has the feature of auto cut off when voltage drops below then it is indeed pretty awesome (but i guess just like PMP, there has to be a tap on the fusebox for that to work right?)

Yes, PMP requires to tap to the fuse box to work as it is for the parking mode for the Blackvue.

thanks, looks like the only option i am left with is to plug in to the ciggy adapter in the boot and routed via battery pack so that i could benefit from the parking mode. now to decide between blackvue 750 or thinkware 800

Another consideration is the warranty. I know Thinkware have authorized distributor in Malaysia. Office is in Sunway (recently moved from Seremban). Blackvue I saw mostly is grey imported from Singapore by a shop in Kepong if not mistaken.

I have two blackvues. A DR650GW 2ch in my Audi, and a DR650S 2ch in my wife's new Tiguan. Both are excellent cameras. The 750 is even better.

The latest DR750S is good as both cams is 1080p and the latest DR900S is 4K front while the rear is 1080p.
