the app allocate me to a 15-20mins away driver (completing nearby trip) instead of those available cars nearby.

frustrated few times I need to cancel my trip.

lets see what happen to crapcar next week after they changed the incentive for the driver

Even with no incentive, driving Grab is much more better than Uber.
Plus the fact that destination is shown, efficiency is higher.

am a uber driver ...i read a lot about this uber not fair in assigning the nearest driver..if you are THE ONLY nearest driver they may assign you the job meaning no others coming there or even nearby.

but if there are others...especially those who have picked up some passenger and heading towards your pick up point they will get your ping even if you happen to be sitting next to an uber driver at your pick up point.

or if there are other drivers lurking nearby who have come earlier than your most nearest uber driver...they will get your ping as they have been waiting longer without pick up even if they are not near you.

this is how uber works...i keep a rider app in different phone and have tried all methods with help of associates to find out how uber assigns pick up

i think in my personal opinion uber is being fair in assigning pick up as they seem to be following queue system to best ability but sometimes its unreasonable as i do get pick ups as far as 18 km away !!

and by the way when i get long distance rider...my ping sometimes shows that this is a long distance trip and by showing me it sort of gives me option to accept or not to. most times if i know its long distance i won't accept it as i only try chase the incentives by completing the quests...that is better than making long distance for a meagre profit..by the way uber fares are too cheap outside of peak hours and i never get motivated to hit long trips
