If you are a frequent user on shopback, please be aware of this.
I am a frequent Shopback user, and this is the first time i experienced this incident which caused me a lost by purchasing expensive items.
On July there was a 20% Visa card cashback campaign. Max cap at RM100.
During that time i purchased almost RM500 worth of items from Shoppu.
Then the transaction was recorded on Shopback. However after the 75 days Pending process, out of sudden it becomes Failed, my cashback was from RM100 becomes zero.
This is their explanation on this.

Firstly, we apologize for any inconvenience caused.
These could be the possible reasons for rejection:
1. Incorrect submission of missing Cashback details
- (Purchased amount - after deducting shipping, taxes and any gift card/credit/voucher code usage amount)
2. Cashback has already been tracked in your account
3. Cancellations, changes or refunds were made
4. Usage of non-valid discount codes - given by the merchants or third party
5. Clicking on the merchant’s ads on Google, social media, or other coupon/deal websites, after clicking through ShopBack
6. Not clicking through ShopBack again after facing payment error
7. Order does not meet the merchant’s terms and conditions
We are as disappointed as you are because ShopBack only gets paid when you get paid. We seek your understanding in this matter, as less than 2% of purchases via ShopBack are untracked (i.e., “missing Cashback”).
As shoppers ourselves, we will work even harder to provide the best Cashback experience for you. Some best practices we can share are:
1. Ensure that your cookies are enabled.
2. Even better would be if cookies could be cleared immediately before clicking through - this would then reduce the chance of your custom being linked to another website.
3. Use an incognito window, this is because the normal window might have corrupted cookies and they prevent the Cashback from tracking.
4. Click through ShopBack before each purchase/booking that you make via ShopBack.
5. Do not buy from a separate window and do not click on any other website/window/tab until you had made the purchase as the cookies might be lost and we do not get the Cashback from the merchant.
6. Do not use voucher codes or discount codes provided by third party or reward programmes
7. If you would want to change the order, we will suggest you to proceed to cancel it and make a new purchase starting all over by clicking through from ShopBack.
