QUOTE(TrollNoob @ Apr 14 2022, 01:10 PM) Hi Sifus, Aiyah.. I wanted metal grey, but got pearl white instead.Thinking of changing my wife persona to Honda Civic 1.8 S 2021 (FC). The dealer only got metal grey colour. Any pros and cons so far? Dealer told me cannot choose color.. Nice car to drive, just don't like the handbrake style. A bit low seating, so might not be comfortable for long distance for back passengers. |

I went to do 1st service today. Asked the SA about changing another brand of battery from outside. He said 'It might affect some sensor warranty if install outside.' Wonder if its some sort of scare tactics.

QUOTE(GuyM @ Apr 29 2022, 03:14 PM) Wanna check anyone hardwired their dashcam and encountered warranty issue with SC although not dashcam related? Did SC still entertain warrant claim? Better undo the hardwire kit before you go do warranty claim or service. My friend's CRV Sidemirror not folding after 3 years, they blame his car wrap and reject claim. Another one put air freshener at AC vent, they reject AC not cold claim. |

I think LED Lamp for RM1200 is actually referring to the 4 LED bulbs only.
The whole LED Headlamp (Used by 1.5 TCP) set SC quoted me RM5k+ Outside cost about RM2.7k (IIRC), better get those Eagle Eyes ones, at least look more unique. |

My friend in SC just told me he encountered a similar case like this before. His case was rear lights flickering and found the cause was due to a bad led used in the car plate light. He removed that bad led and everything was back to normal. Those cheap LED T10s are normally the cause of these abnormal behaviours as they contain cheaper components and bad soldering. If headlamp flickers, try remove all the after market LEDs that you have installed first for troubleshooting. Redundant and neuromancerx liked this post

QUOTE(Redundant @ Jun 24 2022, 11:39 AM) I had an occurrence where my whole civic alarm went haywire, could not even unlock and start the car... alarm keep sounding only... So another proven 'Cheap things not good, good things not cheap'The only thing I did was changing the interior LED bulb from aliexpress, replaced them with OSRAM ones and touch wood it was ok since then... Your finding makes sense now! Thanks! Now we can say "Hobi kami mahal!" as well.. |

I'm using Novsight N37. Very bright and uniformed light pattern.
Those with weird fault lights happening suddenly, did you use those canbus LED lights for cabin light, reading light, reverse light, car plate light? Already heard some alarm issue, car cannot start, unexplained wiring issues, etc. My mechanic warned me about using these canbus LED lights from China, worst case scenario, it can fry the ECU. |

QUOTE(XeLLisCompleX @ Sep 14 2022, 08:19 AM) Hi wanna check something, recently my car got hi-beam headlight blinking (left side only) while engine off and sometimes happen during driving also. i already bring my car to check with service centre and show them video proof that i take during the blinking happen. Did you use any LEDs for your cabin light, car plate light, reverse light, etc?however the service centre cannot solve the problem, even after 3rd time bring it to them - some of the things that they do is change the light bulb, change relay, but the problem still occur. Now the service centre want me to leave the car to them for 3 days for them to inspect the problem, but they cannot offer any replacement car for me during the inspection period. Question is, is it normal for service centre cannot offer replacement car for us to use during inspection period? if i to rent a car, can i claim from anywhere? service centre already said they will not cover the cost. A bit hard for me to leave the car for 3 days as im using car daily basis... If yes, remove them immediately or next problem will alarm short circuit and cannot start. |

Give you RM150 discount, but markup the engine oil, oil filter, and drain plug.
Worth it? |

QUOTE(Redundant @ Aug 9 2023, 11:08 AM) Thinking of servicing my 5 year old out of warranty civic TCP outside too. Anything I should take note of besides following the service schedule list from Honda for the oil and other part change? Normally I will also fix anything which seemed abnormal, eg weird vibration, noise, etc.Plan to get the parts from Hingan Pudu and visit my regular mechanic for my old cars at home. But since this mechanic is those who only fix what is broken, do you guys know what are the frequent items which needs to be inspected regularly such as brake lubricating I see done by honda every service? But I'd recommend that if need to replace major parts such as steering racks, alternators, ac compressors, etc. Better just let your trusted mechanic to order them and earn some money. Reason is some of these original parts are not original at all. Comes with original boxes, 1:1 comparison when placed next to the original, but once installed, they will fail very quickily and since you bought it, then you need to settle the warranty yourself and pay the installation fees again. End up waste time and money. Redundant liked this post
