Mine by jan yr, i guess still not many owners hit 5th yr now,im also surveying in jb
Try the one at tmn tasek, Hah motor or something,as they been servicing lots of honda for yrs

Went to Hah Motor Taman Tasek JB today to replace auto tensioner assembly including the belt. Much cheaper than service center. Rm1.1k vs 1.7k. Original parts.

I feel this shop is very professional. They boss told me they used to be authorised service center but they decided to drop after Honda rebrand as need to put in new investment.

Thanks for the recommendations.

My civic fc 1.8s year 2017, mileage 143k now. My driving is mostly long distance drive.

So far issues I encountered.

1. Air con Evaporator Leaking rm3.3k (covered under warranty). Lucky me it broke down 1 week before my warranty ended.

2. Genuine Auto tensioner + compressor belt RM1100 (SC quoted rm1700).

3. Gearbox sensor rm300 (car has all sort of error message).

4. Latest is wiper arm issue where wiper hits A pillar when it is in fast mode. I think the wiper arm assembly has problem. Still have not repair.

5. These days idle car vibrate more than previously. It is subtle, but I can feel the slightly stronger vibration. Any idea?

my mileage abt 32k but can already feel more vibration compared to the day i first collected the car loh. Honda engine vibration definitely lose out to Toyota. my former Altis at 84k mileage had less vibration than what i'm experiencing on this FC at 32k

Sent my car to one workshop which specialized in Honda.

So, the shop concur mounting already start to wear but situation still under control. I can feel vibration when I on Neural mode or when shift from P to N.

Was quoted rm3k++ to change 3 pieces of engine mounting. It is too costly in my opinion. The shop said have to remove and change whole unit which I am quite doubtful. He said each mounting cost around rm1k.

Went to a spare part shop and was quoted rm1050 for 3 pieces original Honda mounting. If local set(not oem) it is rm800.

Labor fee to change mounting is 2k? Anyone has experience?

Solved wiper bushing issue by DIY it myself.
SC and outside workshop both recommend to change the whole wiper assembly which cost a few hundreds.

Part:
1. aftermarket bushing rm6.9 per piece. There is total 4 bushing in the wiper assembly.
2. Lithium grease or any other greasing.

Saved a few hundreds ringgit.

Bushing link if anyone need it. The shape is slightly different from original bushing but there is no issue to use it.

Mine is a 2016 and failed just 1 month before warrant ended. Luckily HM honoured it. If not it’s rm3k I think. Crazy. Not sure about recalls though

Mine also failed 1 months before my warranty end. Yes, it was 3k.

Wish to check with expert here.my car is civic fc 1.8.

I recently had a rough idling and jerking issue. This happen after fuel pump change at SC.

I changed my ignition coil to NGK coil and spark plug to Bosch double iridium. I went back to SC to troubleshoot and they claimed that these aftermarket spark plug and ignition coil causes the jerking and they are unable to ‘relearn’. The issue is the jerking issue started right after fuel pump change ( before spark plug and coil change)

Is there such issue that aftermarket part is not able to relearn? Anyone change to aftermarket part and no issue?

If your new coils and plugs are genuine and within spec, no issue.
I replaced original Denso with NGK few months back on my 1.8 Altis, it feels like new car since.

May be your SC tried to be sarcastic that you didn't "learn" to buy genuine parts... lol

My coils and ignition coil are genuine aftermarket. Bought from NGK and Bosch directly.

Lols… likely so. Want to psyco me. Actually even though my car is jerking, there is no error message or whatnot. They have swapped a used original spark plug (sc one) and swap back my original ignition coil (mine which I kept few weeks ago) for me to test for one week. Although they said no more jerking, I felt it is still the same.
