maybe my expectation is low because those minor rattling, road and wind noise doesn't really affect me..  importantly it doesn't affect the car..

maybe my previous ride is so noisy until i'm already used to it and civic NVH is 1000% better.. lol
*
My previous ride is just Honda City but this civic noise is from the freaking noisy Conti tyres.
I think majority will be using this tyres rite?

I cant wait to change it but too freaking noisy.. + wind noise when over 100. But too sayang to change when its only driven 5km

Picked up my card on 5th Dec (1.5TC Luna Silver Metallic).

Effortless car to drive, made the right decision to buy Turbo version instead of NA.

Now it's on 500km already. Gotta book for 1000km service interval today tho.

Quick question, any of you guys here ever made an actual comparison between ECON & Normal drive mode in terms of fuel efficiency?

Currently I use ECON mode while driving to work (it is cold outside as I normally go out 615am). Turn the ECON off usually when I want to have some acceleration on the highway.
*
My TCP is doing 6k km atm, with serviced A during 5k km using it for about 4months soon. 100% city drive and mostly on RON95. Daily travel around 20km thru and back from work.

i have been not using ECON mode for 3 weeks and 2 full tank of petrol. My recorded was 11.5km/l compared ECON mode on which is roughly 10.7km/l

My observation is on ECON the car is pretty much underpowered in normal city move and stop driving. Hence sometimes over-step for need of more power consumes more petrol.

After 1 service my FC is getting better. Before Service A with econ sometimes can be as low as 9.5km/l

Let me know if my stats are really low which i think its low. should be at least 12km/l imo.

Really low bro. I wonder if you encounter quite a bit of traffic? I don't feel econ is underpowered in normal stop & go traffic, but my driving conditions / habit might defer from yours.

I am averaging around 12-13km/l on city traffic. Lowest ever is 10km/l as per my siggy.

Oh, i turn on ECON 99% of the time.
*
Bro do try off the ECON mode. I felt its better. The car is more responsive and hence u can lift foot off and let it roll during jam and go situation.

I asked SC about my FC and they say its normal and diagnosis didn't alert any engine fault.

My daily travel traffic is so so. But not straights, need turn left and right and cut thru housing areas. What's ur petrol? current mileage and oil choice?

I do turn if off from time to time, especially if I want to overtake traffic at old trunk roads, but don't really like coz it's a bit twitchy compared to ECON in normal driving. Slight pressure on the accelerator will jerk the car forward - more power yes, but not ideal for daily driving for me. I prefer a more sedentary drive smile.gif

Anyway, using Shell RON97, sometimes V-Power Racing. Current mileage around 23,000KM - Honda 0W-20 as recommended by Honda booklet for fuel saving.

My daily drive is only 12km from home to office to home. Just some traffic when going back from work (around 5 minutes of traffic), but going to work takes about 6 minutes, going back home takes about 10 minutes.
*
Using same oil as well. But mine always on RON95. Prolly that will make a little difference. But it seems every refuel the FC is getting better. Before that is around 10.5 to 10.7km/l on average.

was thinking whether want to buy new CIVIC 1.5 turbo or accord 2.4 second hand... like Civic got parking brake hold so much. Accord just all normal function only. Any suggestion from your guy?
*
brake hold is very important for you? For me i never even use it even from kl jam. Already driven so much and immune to bumper to bumper jam.

Not really. it totally depends on your driving condition.
If talking about 100% city drive, I can only get average 8km/l. This is the traffic condition in bayan lepas, penang.

However, if I drive to KL from penang and then drive a little in KL , 90% highway and 10% city, can easily get 15-18km/l.

I noticed KL city drive and penang city drive is totally different as KL have more highways where you can go higher speed even though there is jam. In penang, there aren't much opportunity for you to drive above 50km/h. ( during peak hour )
*
Thanks for feedback.
but still i want to bring this up for a check during next service. Just to get some technical feedback.

You asked just for the rims or with the tires? RM800 sounds a bit too little if with tires.
*
Depends but that rate is without tyres. Just rims. Some places dont event wanna take.

Anyway there's demand for those 1.8s changing to 1.5 turbo rims.

Starting to realize "shivering" during idling at traffic lights. Engage D or disengage neutral also the same. RPM drops and increase

My car is only doing 16k and about 1 years old soon. Normally its because of dirty throttle body but its only 16k and less than a year.

Anyone experiencing this?

Anyone having same issue with me? Dashboard rattling sound, its kinda obvious. But when I press harder, sound did stop.

Been complain to Honda SC, still the same.

*
I have rattling sound from from somewhere in front but not dashboard. Complaint to SC and they arranged a test drive, the tech guy also managed to hear it so in the end they did was tighten parts. After that no problem

But nowadays i notice a squishy sound from the trunk area.
