Hi fellow members,

Anyone know where can I get a cheap/reasonably priced PS4 tyres around Klang Valley area? If yes, can I get a contact? You can PM me or reply here directly.

Just burst one of my tyre when driving over a sharp cement stone, thinking of changing the entire set to PS4.

Thank you.

For those of you that wanted some superior car battery, Varta Silver Dynamic N55 (80B24L) is in.

Rated 55Ah, 500CCA, but testing shows otherwise at 805CCA, thanks for PowerFrame and EFB. RM420.

If EFB is too expensive, can consider Blue Dynamic 55B24LS, 45Ah 430CCA. RM300. Tested around 510CCA.

Hi, how long can I expect it to last in a normal car typically? 2 years? 3 years? Just need a ballpark figure before investing.

Thanks!

Does anyone here get extremely poor radio reception?  Sent my car in for diagnosis but couldn't solve the problem.  The SA said it's a common complaint by alot of Civic FC owners so I wanna confirm if it's true or he just took the easy way out.  confused.gif

Mine is pretty bad as well, often poor sound quality or just pure static sounds in some particular places, which was fine on my other car. I think it is partly due to the printed antenna, where as Civic from other countries are using shark-fin external antenna. It does not bother me as much though, I listen through CarPlay most of the time.

the shark fin is for satellite radio
terrestrial will still be the printed antenna

Oh I didn't know that, pardon my ignorance. I guess it was just my nocebo effect then.

hi guys ,

Can someone provide me a link on where i could purchase the hdmi -> usb type-c cable for screen mirroring? - the cable that works seamlessly with Civic please :-)

Any cable will works. You can get million of result from Lazada alone.

However, I will suggest you to get a wireless HDMI instead. Mirroring drains battery, a lot. You don't want to use your only port for mirroring and then leave it uncharged. Besides, it is less cluttering to wireless cast.

Thanks Xaphier ... the thing is , i did purchase one cable previously from shopee.. when plugged in ,it does show some sort of detection on the HU but i was not able to mirror the phone

Btw , how does wireless hdmi work on the civic? sorry for the noob question .. any link references?
*
Not sure if you are aware, if you intends to play something through CIVIC's HDMI port, your car parking brake needs to be engage, else it will not mirror. This is for safety purposes, and could be why your HU doesn't mirror. You can bypass this using HDMI bypass Y-cable, do look around in the garage sale.

As for wireless HDMI, you basically plug in a HDMI dongle, connect to it via WIFI, and start mirroring through your phone casting channel. For iPhone, it's AirPlay; For Android, it's Cast.

Again, there are lots of them, go online and look for wireless HDMI that support these protocol, by typing "AirPlay HDMI" or similar. I got mine from Taobao, working flawlessly so far.

Looks like 1.5 maintenance cost lower than 1.8 ?
*
Yes it seems so, although it make no logical sense.

In my opinion, I think Honda MY is giving the maintenance incentive for TCP owner, after all, this is the their first Turbo-equipped car, it needs to gain the consumer trust and rid of the Turbo-bad-reliability stereotypes.

Or it could be just be the harder maintenance on old NA engine tech, who knows tongue.gif

Did any one of you manage to update HU firmware in the service centre? Two of the service centers that I went to refuse to do it, saying they have no expertise in this area.

Hope you can find the car soon. BTW, you're from Tampin. N9(judge based on pic)?

You're right, that's my hometown. I guess you are a fellow Tampin folk as well? I am working in KL but travel back almost every week. Unfortunately, I have now lost my means of transportation.

in the process to insurance claims?

Insurance claim filed, but it will never complete until police decided the case is closed, which could take up to 6 months.
