They said many cases of Civic battery kong suddenly and quickly. No warranty? My wife’s car battery also kong but it was replaced under warranty. Now I got extra 1 year warranty on the battery |

QUOTE(liangko @ Dec 15 2017, 12:50 PM) Dear all, Could it be the battery problem?I owned 1.5 turbo honda civic and I could not start engine just now. Steering is slightly left turned and locked, and the brake pedal is locked up also. The steering icon next to the temperature meter is lights on. I tried to turn the steering and step on brake pedal while i press the push start button also cannot start the engine. Anyone experience this before? I think its due to the steering lock or brake lock, don wish to call tow service for this. Thanks. |

Anyone changed their tyres recently? The MC5s (about 1 year plus - 25k mileage) is getting noisier. Thinking of changing but seems like the 215/55/16 tyres are quite limited.

QUOTE(isr25 @ Jun 22 2018, 01:32 PM) Changed all 4 tyres with balancing, alignment, metal air tube for RM1484 (inc GST). Yes you can use that, but the tyre diameter is 3.6% larger. I’d recommend just getting the normal Civic size. Quite sure the shops have it. Apparently 215/55/16 is not that common. Not a lot of shops have it. Only found some with Toyos Nano Energy etc. |

Hey folks, I just changed all 4 donuts just now to Michelin Primacy 3ST (can't wait for Primacy 4). Anyway, just drove back to office which is just a short 8-10km distance. My first feel is that the sound drop a little but not much. Perhaps 20-25%. Dunno why but I felt the civic was quite a quiet car when first drove. Now it seems to be a tad noisy. Anyway, will try out during the weekend or so coz I'm passing the car back to the home minister. |

Guys,
Any of you encounter aircond problems? I read there's a member here complaint on the aircond hissing sound. Anyway, am asking whether your aircond is still as cold as the first day? Reason I'm asking is because I believe I'm having a minor (and may turn to major) air cond problem. I didn't know about this problem until I drove my wife's car a couple of weeks ago during the weekend. Parked under hot sun for less than 40 mins and when I entered and drove off, the aircond is somewhat blowing hot air for at least a good 5-7 mins. Then it gradually became cooler (not cold) until perhaps a good 20-30 mins, only then the aircond became cold. Of course my wife wouldn't realise this as a problem as I don't think female are as sensitive as male (err... don't judge me for stereotyping If so, it would be pretty sad to see a less than 2 year old car having a somewhat compressor failure. Will update the outcome in the coming days. |

QUOTE(berann @ Jan 31 2019, 10:21 AM) I think the first batch affected with the aircond issues. Few members here already changed their compressor set. Mine changed compressor in 1.5 yrs. same problem. no cold air from aircond especially traffic jam. and is getting worst from week to week..No worries. under warranty. Just replace I asked the SA whether is it a common problem with Civic FC and they said this is the FIRST case!! |

Anyone experienced engine oil leaking? Notice oil spots under my wife’s civic this morning. It’s about 6cm wide.
Quite disappointing for a 3 year old car that is on low mileage to get this type of problem. Need to wait for the SC to open to get it inspected. |
