I'm planning to get a Civic around end of this year or early next year, but after reading this thread here I realise there's macam quite a lot of car problems from you owners' experience ohmy.gif

Is it just a specific year production problem or even the latest one as well?

Hi car sifus and owners sekalian. I am planning to get the Civic 1.8 soon. But I have a very big question right now. When is the best time for me to get it? (First time car buyer here)

Earliest I can get is October or should I wait for year end sale? Or even January next year?

I was told that, yes, year end sale will have some rebates but It wont be alot as Honda doesn't offer high rebates for hot selling cars like Civic and usually very limited stock during the year end. Is this consistent in every Honda showroom?

Any owners here have experience with buying Civic on December? (for the promo)

I was told by SA to buy now and don't wait for year end as Civic usually very limited stock and hard to get since a lot people will be buying too. Is it true and consistent in every honda showroom?

Requested quote for Civic 1.8 from 3 different agents too last week. Got 3k (SR), 4k(SR) and 5k(Online SA) cash rebates. All offer slightly different freebies/vouchers.

When the new facelift is launched, usually will it straight be CKD or CKD comes after?

There's no CBU FC, when FC first launch already is CKD, i bought the first batch. So it is quite safe to assume there won't be CBU for facelift, directly CKD.

Guys, what did your SA told you when Facelift Launching?
Some say Sep/Oct, Oct/Nov, some say end of this year some say early next year...........sigh......

I'm in the same boat as you right now. Planning to get it on October. But then worry not long after, announce new facelift. Although I heard not much difference for 1.8 but abit sakit.
If they really announce it this year end, most probably consumers are only going to get the car next year right? Since it doesn't make sense we get the new car at year-end, and car value depreciates right away 1-2 months late for a new facelift model. (Can someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm just guessing)

I already confirmed with SA and previously carlist website posted a statement from Honda Malaysia saying this year no facelift CIVIC and new gen Honda Accord.

May I know which news on Carlist? Was looking for it but couldn't find.

Edit: Just found the Honda Accord news - https://www.carlist.my/news/all-new-10th-ge...ate-2019/50946/

Still looking for Civic.
