u mean it is normal behaviour for the engine to die off and i have to restart the engine again?
but according to mcchin, the engine should continue running when i press the brake + start button instead of dying off

Hello all sifus,
My car lately has this weird behaviour on the electric parking brake system.
While on autohold function, usually if I unfasten my driver seat belt, or when engine is turned off the parking brake will be automatically applied.

But now, can't get automatically applied. Manually press the electric parking brake switch still works.

Anyone experience this before? Is there an easy fix? Would need to send it to sc if there's no easy fix. Thanks

1. City - getting new gen next year (on-going model is getting dated)
2. Vios - new gen but very plastic interior (Booked but cancelled)
3. Mazda3 - Good quality but cabin space too small especially the rear passenger seat. - getting new gen this year or maybe next year
4. Civic - Too long IMO and low seating position (Booked now waiting facelift to launch)
5. Altis - getting new gen next year (on-going model is very dated)
6. HRV - getting new gen next year (on-going model is getting dated)
7. X70 - long waiting list and still unproven in our market
8. X50 - looks nice but waiting to be launched.
9. Cerato - getting new gen this/next year (on-going model is very dated)
10. Elantra - getting facelift soon

After 6 month of driving I just realise there is a key in our remote lol.  *facepalm*

I just done service due A for 8.5k km for my civic tc. However, oil life before next service B still zero km. Already 11 days. Is there a problem or I should wait longer?

Yes it shows on speedometer screen

Waze will have arrow show up on speeedo same as gmaps
what's different is gmaps can update every 10meters
while waze is quite random, some time 30m sometimes 10m and even 60m interval

my guess is that gmaps will utilize the car gps antenna (not sure new ones will have the antenna, but pre 2017 all have gps antenna even without the onboard nav system)

it seems that gmaps will lock on much faster than waze can

nd i usually leave my phone in the center console cubby
so the gps signal reception is bad

if you have phone holder nearer to the windscreen then waze is not a problem so much

also I encounter once where the gmaps arrow direction stop showing on the speedo

need to do full data (or izzit cache) reset on my phone

Will auto take over middle screen when the direction is less than 1km away

You can dismiss the first time
And it will show back up quickly
Dismissed it the 2nd time and it will stay offed
And only pop back up when you get near around 250m

Got... sometimes the thing freaks out and you are forced to restart your HU before it works back.

I experienced multiple times it informs me of a turning and after i turn and long later it still stays on screen.

Walao.. every few weeks got random scratches appear out of nowhere... latest is this :x :x



Almost 1 year old car but still sakit hati lo... should i wax the scratched part or something?? I do have ceramic coating tho

& I wonder if i need to reapply my ceramic coating... almost 1 year since i did it... now macam easy scratch, maybe coating edi slowly gone in some parts? Hmm

How did you cover up those scratches?
