Not sure if FL is using new fuel pump, but a number of forumers here, including me, had used shell 95 and needed to change fuel pump. So avoid it if possible?
*
Facelift model also got fuel pump issue?

I'm tolerating my defective front sensors for now until I'm convinced Honda Malaysia has overcome the front sensor quality issue. No point replacing only to have it fail again.

biasalah, assembled in malaysia, by malaysian. we also malaysian, so we know how we work and slacking around right
*
attitude like that really made me fuming mad when I collected my new civic. pointed out to the SA the paint spot blemishes and scratches on bonnet and uneven gap at grill. SA response was "Local assembly is like that". Even brought me to see another civic which has even worse uneven gap at the grill. He said can arrange to adjust the grill gap but warned that the bumper gap may not be even after that! and Worse, when I drove out from the centre, I heard knocking sound from the front. during first service claimed defective absorber mounting and now waiting to claim defective front parking sensors.

Just an update have checked the sway bar link it is not the one causing the "TOK" noise, removed it drove the car still had the noise, it is something else that remains a mystery. Will send to another SC later on to get it sought.
*
my 1.8 had the 'tok' sound when going over hump or very bumpy road from day I collected the car. SC changed the front left absorber mounting and the noise is gone.

I have just booked, inside the official showroom, Civic 1.8S, salesperson gave me a rebate / discount, RM4,000.00. Zero body kit...

Is it a nice / quite okay-ish deal, or I am being f**kin scammed?

Need opinion, please. Thank you, brothers here.

Owh! And he mentioned, interest rate is 2.30, 7 years.
*
if 4K rebate is excluding SST rebate, then it's a fantastic discount

Wanna get some advise on how to start the car properly. How u guys start your car?

A. Press Brake > Press Start button
B. Press Start button > Press Brake > Press Start button
C. Press Start button > Press Start button > Wait few second > Press Brake > Press Start button
*
only A for me. Option C doesn't make sense. if it is the recommended sequence, then i'd rather have the good old key ignition.

QUOTE(Weng Weng @ Nov 19 2020, 10:06 AM)
I did soundproof few months ago in KL, the boss told me civic fc front wheel arch is treated with 3M thinsulate, so from them most effective area would be the our thin floor pan regardless you are FC, FB or FD.
I remember that time is around July and they give 20% of discount, then i took the floor pan package along with trunk package (trunk include rear inner wheel well, arches and panel) as my wife complain to most is rear wheel tire noise. (am on PS4)

This soundproof mod have significant improve where now i can talk to my wife sitting at rear (with my daughter) on highway (last time need to shout), also it is noticeable by my few frens too when i fetch them which they thought civic is this quiet.

Downside from my experience
- now my center console got a piece of plastic start making noise after parking under hot sun for long hours which previously didn't have, but it goes off when my car temp goes down.
- chair sliding plastic bracket need to trim a bit because now the floor pan with carpet is thicker
- they accidentally scratch my plastic interior when removing the seat (but they responsible enough to fix it for me free)

If you ask me am I happy and will i do again? yea for sure hahaha. Just sharing my experience  cool2.gif
*
i do find the noise from the boot is quite noticeable when rear seats are folded down. So doing the insulation at the boot area should help. can you PM the place you did the sound proofing?

how many km the car has travelled since last changed the front sensor? I'm still holding out on replacing mine. worried the replacement front sensors will also be faulty
