QUOTE(iSh4Dow. @ Jul 14 2018, 07:12 PM) Hey guys. My 1k km virgin service coming up. XD Hi Can share the location and price for your Locktech? Thinking to install too. Many FC stolen recently. Want to check what’s the amount I can exceed by before the warranty voids? I booked service this Sunday. Now it’s already 700+. Thanks in advance. Also in regards to security. I just installed locktech to my brakes today. Quite convenient. |

QUOTE(isr25 @ Jul 25 2018, 07:59 AM) My aircond is starting to have problems. Called Honda to send it for checking - the air is not as cold as usual - and on long drives or hot days, the air would be warm... Wondering the new batches still have the warm restart grinding noise ? If not means earlier batch will have solution to change to newer part. Also, the warm restart grinding noise is starting to bug me. Asking them to claim the CVT module too. Sending it tomorrow for checking Sometimes friend sit in my car will ask .. eh.... what sound is that.. lol Anyone 2018 batch can confirm? Thanks |

QUOTE(_bib_ @ Jul 26 2018, 09:30 AM) I'm also curious about how the grinding sounds like. I read about it early last year (before getting the car). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZdJNeh4uCcWarm restart I read about is something like restarting the car momentarily after shutting it down. Been driving the FC since Jun 2017. I'm not sure what the grinding sound like. Of course, I've also tried the warm restart then try to listen... Can't really hear any difference from usual engine running. Just wonder if my engine has always been grinding that I can't tell the difference (I've also read, there are cases that grinding sound can be heard at all times). Is rather loud, if you cant hear means no grinding sound. |

Do update us about the grinding sound ya. if have solution, ill bring my car to replace/update as well. Anyway, just sent my car and leave it here for a few days. Hopefully they can fix all the issues [attachmentid=9938508] Previously SC told me is normal/ no solution yet. So i just ignore. |

QUOTE(isr25 @ Jul 26 2018, 04:24 PM) They just called me up. Compressor & right side marker, they said confirm claim warranty - should be ready to collect back by Tuesday. Aiks the grinding sound still consider "normal". No choice. Grinding noise: they claim normal - even CRV 1.5T has this noise... Dunno about this though, coz from what I read in the CivicX forum, even those that have changed their CVT module, would have this sound a year later... Wow u need to leave your car there few days to change compressor? mine one day checking. then only send my car to replace compressor when part arrived. Just leave my car for 1 night. |

QUOTE(isr25 @ Jul 31 2018, 07:40 PM) Called yesterday afternoon, they said haven’t got the parts. I wanted to take it back, they said they already dismantled the parts and don’t have time to put it all back before work finishes. They reassure me today can get. So troublesome without car for 1 week. Wondering why they need to keep your car. Which SC? Called today, said parts arrived, but they can’t put it on immediately my car has already been put back together this morning coz they needed to use the bay for other cars  bodo punya SC... I claimed mine at SC OKR. After checking they ask me go back and call me again for installation once the stock arrived. total 2 days.. done. For info, if without warranty, the compressor set will cost RM 2.6k (exclude labor cost) to replace. |

QUOTE(moolastrikes @ Aug 3 2018, 11:11 AM) Should try to brainwash your dad. I upgraded from H.City to Civic TC. At first feel that the car very fast & powerful.. siok.. after 2 years of driving.. already get used to it.. sometimes feel like lack of power.. haha. Not sure u all have the same feeling.. next time have to get at least a 2.0Turbo > 250hp...Volvo S60 T8 407hp? I took my dad to test drive Merc GLC250. After 10 mins with that turbo engine, he straightaway cancel his lexus rx350 booking. That was 2 years ago. and now he'll question if I pick the 1.8 instead of 1.5tc, lol. modern turbo engines are pretty reliable if keeping it stock. Anyway i believe 5 years later.. most cars will be turbo and much more powerful.. even a base Accord with near 200hp 1.5 turbo. |

QUOTE(nlik @ Aug 11 2018, 12:40 PM) Hi. Just curious, is there any difference in brakes, disc sized or pads between the 1.8s and 1.5 TC? Both should be the same except for the CVT. maybe the suspension is made stiffer? or the CVT is a higher grade in the 1.5TC? "The CVT is developed and manufactured in-house, but Honda points out that the CVT in the 1.5L turbo is slightly bigger in size which helps cope with the extra grunt" |

QUOTE(KingArthurVI @ Aug 16 2018, 10:06 AM) I see a lot of fear and paranoia of car getting stolen lately in this thread... at first when I got my car mid July I was also paranoid. Yeah, i have the same thinking when i got my car. Stolen then just claim insurance and get a new car. Some of you may recall me asking about pedal locks and I bought a steering lock that ultimately cannot fit on Civic FC's thickly wrapped steering wheel, and I also bought a FobGuard Faraday Cage pouch from the US. I was also seriously considering getting the GPS tracker either Katsana or Connex. After owning the car for a bit I decided to not use the pedal lock—it was a pain to engage and I'm sure Locktech or other more expensive ones are easier to use but IMO it looks ugly just sitting there even when not in use. My one and only safeguard is the FobGuard now and really once you stop worrying so much you enjoy life a lot more. Nothing is 100% theft proof, so if god forbid there's a thief waiting to steal my car and he stole my fob signal before I put it in the pouch then so be it. I'll just claim insurance and call it a day, and maybe get a Golf GTI next lol. Just my 2 cents since I know a lot of people are getting their cars and might be worried about the recent theft cases. But after 2 years of ownership with sum insured reduced to RM 97k. Now feel more worried. If stolen, most i can claim back 97k and i have to top up 30k to get back the same new car. Yes can consider to get a 2 years used civic, but i cant. lol. So is good to have Locktech or other additional safety especially if i park in places that is more risky..In KL there are so many Civics, i believe thief will rather steal a car that is easier to steal than the hassle to remove your steering /pedal lock. few meters away you can see another civic.. |

Most of you will still pump 97 even > RM 3/lit vs RM 2.2 (RON95)? https://www.lookp.com/blog/petrol-price-estimate-prediction |

QUOTE(Jitty @ Aug 29 2018, 12:23 PM) Michelin PS4 a good choice. if budget can try Hankook V12 or MC6. Personally i consider to change to Conti MC6. a much improved tyre vs MC5. Good reviews. Designed for asian road and is developed to match the Michelin PS4. Good price 215/50/17 for RM 315 now ... much cheaper vs PS4 |

QUOTE(hihihehe @ Aug 29 2018, 01:30 PM) Ya Previously saw in Mudah.my RM 315.00 by Len Seng Auto Services S/B (Cheras) - 012-3763007 (Mr Chriss). You can call him for further details.MC6 quite new.. launched in Msia Oct17. But based on the catalog(link below), is better than MC5 in wet/dry handling & braking. but same on noise and comfort. https://blobs.continental-tires.com/www8/se...ct-mc6-data.pdf Im waiting for my MC5 botak to try out MC6 |

QUOTE(KnightSports @ Aug 29 2018, 03:23 PM) MC6 is a total revamp of the MaxContact series and not a evolution of the MC5. Apparently it is touted to be a tyre on a different level compared with it's predecessor. Ok. I just read on all the first impression reviews on MC6. All of them are very positive and impressed. Even Bobby Ang commented MC5 is crap but highly recommend MC6. MC6 now is "AA" rated traction & categorized under UHP tyre. Unlike MC5 is only "A" rated traction & not UHP. http://www.zerotohundred.com/2017/first-im...hp-contender-3/ http://www.nationmultimedia.com/detail/Auto_ADO/30328785 For price below RM 350 (215/55/17), I will give a try. If same price with PS4.. offcourse get the PS4 |

QUOTE(0501024 @ Sep 6 2018, 12:40 PM) the torque produced by the FC actually quite exhilarating and this is coming from a heavy footer and a b18 engine . even tho on paper the b18 had better torque. i think its psychological coz the FC is relatively quiet so when the push comes it catches you by surprise https://<link removed>/2016/02/22/honda-civic-...p-fb-civic-2-4/Dyno test in North America, "in the brochure, the 1.5 litre turbo mill is said to dish out 174 hp and 220 Nm, nearly the same as that of the Thai-spec Civic. However, after some data gathering, it is revealed that the engine actually has 177 hp and 258 Nm on tap, which is 3 hp and 38 Nm more than listed. Shocking!" and is faster than a 205hp 2015 Civic Si. I think our civic Turbo here should be the same with actual torque more than 220nm |

QUOTE(luvingstar @ Sep 12 2018, 09:55 AM) At 1st i thoughts that way too~but i hardly notice its leveling when going uphill or downhill. Thus i suspect is HM remove the auto leveling features? But my other car CR-Z HID headlight with auto leveling. I tested if front tyre stop at bump, the headlight will adjust downward instead of shooting high up. Can often see the headlight movements if go bump slowly, or going in / out basement etc. Btw mine is 1.5 TC. no auto leveling.. not sure about the TCP LED. Just for sharing, i prefer to drive cr-z. Is less power but more fun to drive. Handling is better and more agile. The feel of hybrid instant pickup is nicer than some turbo lag in TC especially city drive & traffic jams. On highway, TC is better & way faster |
