Also in regards to security. I just installed locktech to my brakes today. Quite convenient.

My aircond is starting to have problems. Called Honda to send it for checking - the air is not as cold as usual - and on long drives or hot days, the air would be warm...

Also, the warm restart grinding noise is starting to bug me. Asking them to claim the CVT module too. Sending it tomorrow for checking

I'm also curious about how the grinding sounds like. I read about it early last year (before getting the car).
Warm restart I read about is something like restarting the car momentarily after shutting it down.

Been driving the FC since Jun 2017. I'm not sure what the grinding sound like. Of course, I've also tried the warm restart then try to listen... Can't really hear any difference from usual engine running. Just wonder if my engine has always been grinding that I can't tell the difference (I've also read, there are cases that grinding sound can be heard at all times).

Anyway, just sent my car and leave it here for a few days. Hopefully they can fix all the issues

They just called me up. Compressor & right side marker, they said confirm claim warranty - should be ready to collect back by Tuesday.

Grinding noise: they claim normal - even CRV 1.5T has this noise... Dunno about this though, coz from what I read in the CivicX forum, even those that have changed their CVT module, would have this sound a year later...

Called yesterday afternoon, they said haven’t got the parts. I wanted to take it back, they said they already dismantled the parts and don’t have time to put it all back before work finishes. They reassure me today can get.

Called today, said parts arrived, but they can’t put it on immediately my car has already been put back together this morning coz they needed to use the bay for other cars :facepalm: bodo punya SC...

I took my dad to test drive Merc GLC250. After 10 mins with that turbo engine, he straightaway cancel his lexus rx350 booking.

That was 2 years ago.

and now he'll question if I pick the 1.8 instead of 1.5tc, lol.

modern turbo engines are pretty reliable if keeping it stock.

Hi. Just curious, is there any difference in brakes, disc sized or pads between the 1.8s and 1.5 TC?

maybe the suspension is made stiffer? or the CVT is a higher grade in the 1.5TC?

I see a lot of fear and paranoia of car getting stolen lately in this thread... at first when I got my car mid July I was also paranoid.

Some of you may recall me asking about pedal locks and I bought a steering lock that ultimately cannot fit on Civic FC's thickly wrapped steering wheel, and I also bought a FobGuard Faraday Cage pouch from the US. I was also seriously considering getting the GPS tracker either Katsana or Connex.

After owning the car for a bit I decided to not use the pedal lock—it was a pain to engage and I'm sure Locktech or other more expensive ones are easier to use but IMO it looks ugly just sitting there even when not in use. My one and only safeguard is the FobGuard now and really once you stop worrying so much you enjoy life a lot more. Nothing is 100% theft proof, so if god forbid there's a thief waiting to steal my car and he stole my fob signal before I put it in the pouch then so be it. I'll just claim insurance and call it a day, and maybe get a Golf GTI next lol.

Just my 2 cents since I know a lot of people are getting their cars and might be worried about the recent theft cases.

MC6 is a total revamp of the MaxContact series and not a evolution of the MC5. Apparently it is touted to be a tyre on a different level compared with it's predecessor.

the torque produced by the FC actually quite exhilarating and this is coming from  a heavy footer and a b18 engine . even tho on paper the b18 had better torque. i think its psychological coz the FC is relatively quiet so when the push comes it catches you by surprise

At 1st i thoughts that way too~but i hardly notice its leveling when going uphill or downhill. Thus i suspect is HM remove the auto leveling features?
