Loving the Civic so far. Though my fuel consumption really takes a hit because I'm mostly always stuck in jams. Only around 350-400km per fill up. Also, my fuel life is only 5k for Service A. So far, I am not compatible with Econ mode, I get better mileage by turning it off. . That's probably because I, step on the pedal harder then I should due to the Econ mode acceleration. Some questions for the owners here: 1. When do you normally fill up? Wait til its E or just top up at certain amount (1/4, 1/2) 2. Any idea how to fix loose rubber on the door frame? Or should this be fixed at SC? This post has been edited by bem69: Jun 27 2019, 08:52 AM

QUOTE(neuromancerx @ Jun 27 2019, 11:14 AM) i will try to only fill up on weekend, to get 8% cashback (Maybank Ikhwan card), 8x Maybank TP (vs 5x on weekdays). Oh, that's a good strategy too. Maximising those cards for rebates. Thanks for sharing.

My car just around 2 weeks, drive 3xx km showing 3.8k oil life - new car never drive speed above 80kmph - don't hard accelerate - no oil leak is it normal or Honda skim on my engine oil I have very low oil life too. After 1st service, the SC says nothing unusual like leak or anything. Mine is showing 3.8k oil life after 1300km mileage.

QUOTE(joshgm_119 @ Jul 5 2019, 11:46 AM) Your commute patterns clears this up.. Getting stuck in traffic jams causes the oil life to decrease way quicker, as well as sitting in the car with the engine running. But no harm in getting SC to check when you folks take your cars in. Yeah I've heard of low oil life, but not that low. I guess the traffic jams I go through are crazier than what most go through.

QUOTE(KnightSports @ Jul 5 2019, 01:47 PM) When your car is out of the dealership, it never gets 10,000km By the time it shows any mileage left to oil change. It is likely in the 5,xxx KM range at best. Mine started at 5,500 KM as soon as it shows if i am not wrong. I've heard a customer complaint at SC after 2 month of owning the car saying she didn't drive anywhere except for school runs and the car instructed her to change oil which coincidentally was around her 1st service. I asked the SA i knew who was nearby at the time and she told me the customer actually sit in front of the school in the car daily almost 1 whole hour before waiting for her kid to come out. 2 months worth or roughly 40 hours of idling. Hard to say unless someone does the same and leave their car idling for that long and see if oil life counter deteriorates. Oh around 5,500KM when you first got it? Does it improve after your first oil change? Mine is around 5K as well.

Hey guys.
9 months with my Civic and so far so good. Fuel consumption could be better. Anyway, one glaring issue that just popped up is the passenger side wind noise when driving over 90km/h. What could be the problem? Anyone else experience this?

QUOTE(lonewolfchua @ Feb 29 2020, 09:41 PM) I found that fuel efficiency was better when the ECO mode is off and keep driving at higher speeds, with gradual increase, not sudden pecut. Driving slowly is bar for fuel efficiency in this car. Maybe the max engine efficiency is at higher speeds. Passenger side not much noise for me for the time being. Yeah, I’m currently turning on Eco mode since last week to see if it helps. My situation is that I am stuck a lot in jams of short distances. There’s no room to even move at higher, cruising speed. I get around 11-12km/l as a result.

QUOTE(denzel88 @ Mar 1 2020, 08:28 PM) I got 2.36 from pb. just got approved on friday. Your Loan havent approve, can get allocation already? Yea, last time my Vios have bad sound proofing. i seached quite alot about it, rubber seal can sound proof until certain extend. Can actually buy the rbber seal from lazada, etc. easily install urself onto the doors. if the rubber is loose or broken, it could be the reason why you can hear the noise. Noted. Thanks, I will have a look on seals in Lazada or Shopee.

QUOTE(SackBoy @ May 14 2020, 11:58 AM) Damage? No. In fact is the other way around, wrap is actually another physical layer on top of the our thin paint, so it actually protects the paint underneath. Wrap is not sticker, no glue will damage and peal off the paint, for example, wrap can only apply on smooth surfaces, most plastic trim area can't be wrap. However color wrap does not self heal like paint protective film, nor have the hardness value like 8H, 9H of paint coating, stone chipping damage on the wrap is unavoidable. Thanks for the informative reply. I have coating on my car and at the monent wrapped the chrome bits. I was thinking it had a glue of some sort. Any thoughts on why wraps differ in price? Do cheaper brands cause problems for uninstalling?

QUOTE(SackBoy @ May 14 2020, 12:43 PM) There are only 2 factor that determine the price, first is the costs of the wrap material itself, will costs more if using the branded ones, like 3M, TeckWrap, etc. anything like unheard China brand wrap is not recommended as the color fades very quickly, some say within few months will show symptom, whereas branded ones will last for years. The other factor is the workmanship, mainly the experience they had with wrapping materials and tidiness of the seam trimmings and quality work they provides. The expensive one that i installed does comes with free adjustment or little touch up as long it doesn't costs them more material. The more reputable ones are normally better, those bad ones can clearly see ugly connection pieces, ugly cuts at edges. I've taken out the wrap in some panel and rewrap it, when pealing off the wrap, it came off cleanly and the paint is still like brand new. Interesting. This explanation of yours is far better than what I have known googling and asking around. Appreciate it 👍. Next step for me is to find a reputable shop.
