Anyone can recommend a place for removing dents around Puchong. My rear left door sill is nicely dented. To be honest this car's outer shell is really soft lar. My friend slipped while getting into my car and his foot stomped on the sill, now there's a very noticeable dent there.

Anyone can recommend a shop to get Michelin PS 4 in Klang Valley? So far I only have King of Rims for RM558 each all inclusive.

is it possible to pull the handbrake while driving ? like if accidentally someone pulls the button?
*
To my knowledge you need to pull it twice to engage it. One pull won't do anything. Also pull and hold engages it. In both cases it won't lock the wheels. Instead it will rapidly slow the car down like emergency braking.

Note: This is from my research on electronic parking brakes only. Never tested it myself before.

You can try to nano mist your car. I had that musky smell issue before but it magically disappeared fter a couple of months.

I'm confused. Can someone enlighten me.
My last service was 3rd August 2017. According to 2 Honda SC, next service is 3rd Jan 2018 but my calculation shows it's only 5 months. Shouldn't it be 3rd Feb (6 months)? Or my maths sudah karat?

Last service was oil change + preventative maintenance? should be 6 months...

*
Yeah. Since I don't use the car much I always hit 6 months before the MM is due. Last service was A+10k. Next will be B+20K.
It should be ok for me to ignore what the SC is saying and stick to 6 months right? I wrote to Honda Malaysia but they're not replying.

I'd recommend to always follow the original Honda maintenance schedule - 6 months or 10,000KM, whichever is first. They have no basis to ask you to do later or earlier - unless Honda Malaysia comes out with a different maintenance advisory, but so far, none yet.

Thanks. That's what I thought as well. I don't see the point of servicing a month early.

I think those opt for 0w-20 engine oil into their turbo civic is going to be disaster.
0w-20 meant for low rev and save fuel and it provide the least protection.
I don't think the engine will last long if you always use the turbo.

For those who always high rev and drive fast, better get 5w-30 or 10w-30 for better protection. 10w-30 also quite fuel economical also.

Could you elaborate on "if you always use the turbo"? Can we drive a turbocharged engine without using the turbo?

Yes I know civic turbo is trigger after 3.xK RPM. Yes I believe you can drive without turbo if you keep the RPM below the treshold. (I'm not turbo expert).

You testing me or really newbie ?  tongue.gif

Hehehe. No harm in asking and learning. Mana tau I may be wrong.
My understanding of turbo is it's always working from the moment you start the engine. The higher your rpm the faster it spins and the more boost you get. Ours starts boosting at around 1.5k rpm.
Just to add, turbo engines usually have lower compression when compared to NA. This is to allows more air-fuel mix to be pumped into the cylinder. Because of this, when you do encounter turbo failure, your engine will shudder a lot and feel lifeless. In essence, without the turbocharger, it's actually a lot less powerful than a conventional 1.5 NA engine.

As for 0-20 oil, I believe it's sufficient for our engine. There's a lot of false information being spread about the maintenance of these engines. Unless you're pushing it really hard everyday, upgrading the oil is just overkill.
Just my 2 cents. Kalau salah tolong tunjukkan.

Any of you guys getting strong petrol smell when you first start your car? Sometimes mine gets into the cabin also. After a few minutes it goes away. Usually it happens close to the service interval.

During cold start, yes. Not every start in a day. Also happens everyday during a cold start, did not observe any particular time that it happens.

So I'm not alone. Great.
I hope they will fix it though. Have you complained to the SC about it?

I think its a serious issue related to engine oil dilution
