Hi all. I am keen to start my personal training with a PT, but he is not based in any gyms. Is there any gym anyone can recommend that would allow their members to bring their own PT? I have looked around quite a bit but all of them say I have to use their in-house PT. Preferably nearby Sri Petaling area. Thanks.

most pay per entry gym has no problem bringing your own pt as long as you pay for both yourself & the trainer to use the gym

the gyms care only about money. if you pay them, they won't make a fuss about it. sweat.gif

Is there even a decent pay per entry gym in Sri Petaling? The only one pay per entry gym that I found is 24/7 fitness. Per entry is Rm 34 or so. Gila ka? The next nearest one is the pusat komuniti beside Tai Thong. They have squat rack. But lacking in every other things.

The next nearest one is in Happy Garden wet market area. RM 10 per entry. No squat rack, but everything else is there.

I doubt any gym with their in-house PT would allow u to bring your own PT, definitely for free. It's like restaurant not allowing u to bring outside food or drink into their premise, it affects their profit.

If the PT could disguise himself as your training partner well enough should be fine though. But u would definitely have to pay for his entrance fee.

Yeah, that's the thing. The good ones don't allow you to bring your own PT, the ones that do don't have good facilities. It's too bad I don't live in a condo. I'm open to outside Sri Petaling now too.

if your personal trainer is good, he should be able to train you without the proper facilities i believe. what is your fitness goal? hmm.gif

Get fit and improve my strength and stamina. I have been suffering from fatigue late early this year, and my guess is this is due to my lack of fitness. Of course to lose weight is my second priority. I do want to improve my stamina coz I still have many things I want to do like travel to the countries I haven't gone to yet, career, etc. To do more things, I need to be more fit.

Lolx. This much is very true. Although we need to be mentally strong as well but having someone to motivate you helps.

You can try the gym I trained at. Fit Buddy Bukit Jalil, next to Lai Meng Primary School. It's new, per entry is RM10.00.

why u need to bring ur PT ; don't trust the PT from the gym?

just go to the private small gym that offers per entry ; then pay both person fees and it should be okay

Why find PT? Some gyms there are those old farts(some compete in competition) which are very eager to teach you for free. All you need to do is ask. They are always willing to part with their knowledge.
