Hi guys. how long does your warranty last? I purchased an envy 13 from lazada recently, mentioning it is onsite 2 year, but i am surprised when it comes with just 1 year and off site. tried to contact hp support several times, it has been 2 weeks but still not much of progress despite several emails exchange.

The lazada promo said 2 years, if anything happens you should ask Lazada CS.

I can't run the Support Assistant as I'm not on Windows, but checking at https://support.hp.com/my-en/checkwarranty tells me I only have 1 year warranty. Wonder what's up...

Update: issue settled after I approach the seller and hp team, though they took about 3 weeks before confirm with me about it.

Meanwhile may I ask another question..

I understand that usb c charging is not supported and the device is charged through 4.5mm jack cable with the 45w charger.

I m wondering if a power bank supporting pd 2.0 usb c charging, will be able to charge the laptop if I use an appropriate cable, converting usb c to 4.5mm jack?

My unit's "V" key got problem. Not smooth as each press of the "V" key will "stick" a bit after every press. Was told after using, it should be "okay" but alas, still the same.

Any suggestions?

If you got lots of free time, contact HP (ask their FB for the email, I can't remember, but the CS who helped me was quite professional and nice) to fix for you.

If you're adventurous just open up and clean. Sticking a bit normally means something got under the key. I will normally only do this once out of warranty for obvious reasons....

This machine is quite pricey also eh, price haven't really dropped.

Definitely this model has good battery life and is thin. Not as light as some others in this class. Okay for light gaming (not triple-A, I play stellaris and it runs well).

Following up on the full story on Notebookcheck, can current Envy owners confirm this and list out which variants of the MX150 they have?

Notebookcheck.net on MX150 variants

Thanks.

I've got the Envy 13 with MX150, confirmed 1d12 version. Not a big deal for me, better battery life is good, and it runs my less demanding games smoothly.

Yes. better battery life is good, considering the performance of the variant is not too drastically different.
Thanks for checking.

Same with my unit, 1d12. While not an issue for me since I don't game on it and love the batt life, can't help but feel short changed though

Anyone who really cares about GC performance wouldn't go for MX150 anyway. It's just a nice boost from built-in Intel, useful if you're doing some moderate gaming (not triple-A). If you want very nice framerates on good games you wouldn't bother with MX150 at all.

I'd rather have the battery life. Plugging in and/or carrying charger is annoying.
