QUOTE(chicaman @ May 2 2006, 02:01 AM) you can remove it by unregistering the Messenger File Sharing Shell Extensions dll.do this by going to start > run, and typing in: CODE regsvr32 -u -s "C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\fsshext.dll" or you can delete the registry entry under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\My Computer\Name Space and it should keep your ability to use sharing folders. |

QUOTE(samurai1337 @ Jun 18 2006, 10:27 AM) Microsoft didn't announced it. Bink.nu did. The date is actually from a random German site who said they had a "source" of some kind (according to mess.be) |

QUOTE(jdreamer @ Jul 4 2006, 03:32 PM) Originally posted by Jonathan Kay - Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger/MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger - Associate ExpertQUOTE Part of your Messenger client cache may be corrupted. To attempt to fix, close down Messenger if it's running, click Start, then Run, and type the following: %userprofile%\contacts and click OK. If nothing appears in the folder, click the Tools menu, then Options, then View tab, click 'Show hidden files or folders' and click OK. Once you are able to see the folders, right-click the one that corresponds to your Passport and choose Delete. Next, click Start, then Run, and type the following: %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts Then remove the corresponding folder again in this folder. Then restart Messenger and try signing in again. This post has been edited by fariz: Jul 4 2006, 04:40 PM |
