however, based on my experience, there is not much features will be added in new 8.1

* Improved Vista Compatibility
* New Personal Expressions UI (Winks and Emoticon menus, etc)
* New Personal Status Message options
* A new branding platform
* Improved re-authentication at sign in
* Roaming display pictures
* New platform architecture in key areas such as automatic updates and object store (where your personalized data is kept on your computer)

actually i would like to share with u all
but,i dare not to post the link as i kena warning by posting internal beta release of vista pre-rc1
the mod warned me that posting the link for not officially release stuff is illegal....

the obvious changes in 8.1 are the contact cards and the personal msg has new feature to show your location
