For me, they cant show their feelings toward u.. plus, can u know if they get sick or upset? U can only play with them... haih... weird hobby huh? |

I've been to CTY but they don't have it there, it's the biggest pet shop in Penang rite? Dont give Hagen.. now got new good quality product (Oxbow). Just get into Msia on early May.. I bought from Beh. Maybe will help Beh to market that product in Penang soon... |

Added on May 14, 2008, 5:50 pm QUOTE(Chinchillas @ May 14 2008, 04:29 PM) Chipmunk is wild catch, it can't be pet actually, after a while it will die due to lack of running space and the diet doesnt meet what they eat in the wild. I set my civet cat free yesterday. It's kinda heavy-hearted actually... But for her own sake, i think it's the best thing to do. She lived with us for almost a year. That time she was small and injured. Now she has grown up and i hope she can survive in the wild life. I hope she will find her habitat, her companion and have her own family.
My bf and i set her free in the morning, around 10.00am. We fed her with bananas, fresh milk and some cat's biscuit before let her go. The weather was find, so we hope she'll find a place for her to shelter from rain and other predators before dark. I'm kinda wori. Everytime i saw her cage, i cant stop thinking about her. I wonder what she's doing now. What she eats today and where she sleeps.. But to keep her forever with us is impossible. She's a wild life creature. She cant live in captivity. She's hard to litter-trained, hard to tame and she's harmful to other pets who share our apartment unit (my chipmunks, squirrels and rabbits. Owh, forgot to mention, she made Momoy lost half of her tail!). She'll live in her cage for her rest of life if she stays with us. So, i think we aredi made a right desicion to send her 'home' (wildlife). I forgot to bring the photo i snapped when we set her free. She refused to go, so i had to use a stick to make she moved. She ran, climbed a hill nearby, sat at a stone, stared at us for a few seconds then ran again.. When she left, i shouted to her, "Gudbye Cinchan.. We hope u'll find a better life out there and take care!" :sigh: We miss u, Cinchan... |

QUOTE(ahchak @ May 16 2008, 04:42 PM) when i say i dare not see, you should know i'm a gal or guy... Depends on u... But all they need is a space for free-run-time, healthy food and a companion (some of them can live alone)... They dont need attention like sgliders and hamsters... they can live by their own.Theirs skin... very geli... actually i scared them because of their skin... Your chipmunks are so cute!! Btw, easy to take care them? |

Hi vakoo... good news for u and other guinea pigs owner in Penang : Oxbow is coming to penang soon, around June if not mistaken... Do ur GP eat hays? Oxbow have a lot of hays option for small animals.. check their website for more diet info.
Added on May 23, 2008, 6:58 pmOhya... all rabbits owner, GP and Chincillas owner, Oxbow is one of the good quality food product for ur pets.. Ask ur petshop nearby, maybe they can take this brand in. So all of us can easily get this brand soon. This post has been edited by nicoty_yne: May 23 2008, 06:58 PM |
