just checked with senheng, they said the warranty will not submitted to Samsung but still total 3 years warranty.

if warranty claim, has to go back to SENHENG

I wonder when we can get new update. We only received an update once, which when we 1st received the phone. Hopefully new update can bring more improvement on post processing for camera and of course, 4k 60fps video (not like i'm gonna use it but it is a nice thing to have)

So I've had my Note 8 for the past three weeks now and all has been good till the past three days. As a practice, I would charge my phone to full every night, unplug the charger and put the phone into max power saving mode. The next morning (about 7 hours later) when I wake up, the drain would be about 2 to 3%. But for the past 3 nights, with no new apps downloaded or whatever, I'd do the same thing, and the battery drain has been well over 20%. In Max Power Saving mode, no less. I even made sure I kill all apps before turning on the max power saving mode and yet the same results occur. I even turned off mobile and data before I sleep and results are the same.

Anyways, thankfully it charges fast so I'll leave it as it is.

Out of curiosity, what kind of security system that you guys are using for your Note 8?

PIN? Password? Touch ID? Iris? Face?

That's weird. Could be some part of your hand touched the edge while you are using the phone? Not sure about you guys. But based on my experience, I did find out that the edge of Note 8 is quite sensitve compared to S8.

Ya, a friend of mine told me to do that yesterday as well and results were OK last night. Will monitor it for the next couple of days to see how it holds. Otherwise might need to restart the phone everyday, ha ha ha. It's the one thing Android still can't get right; idle battery drain.
I sleep about 6-7 hours only. And like I said, max power saving is on therefore everything is off including AOD which I don't use, anyway. I'm sure it's some app or system file that went rogue somewhere in the phone.
That's the thing, the battery tool showed no app draining power, which was weird. Anyways, will monitor it further before I make a big fuss over it.

No such issues on mine.
It doesn't really work really well in darkness either though Samsung says the front camera comes with infared. Ifags are claiming the Iphone X will have a better camera with infared and it should facial recognition should work flawlessly. Lets see how true will that be.
