Your old line still active?

Generally for port-in much easier to do a port to hotlink and then switch to ookyo. Because Hotlink you have to get from their dealer center, so they verify everything is correct on the sim side and you only have to answer those SMS to your old number. Then from there can jump to ookyo.
*
Agree going to Hotlink is better because it has a party to get things done for you smoothly. Hotlink to ookyo takes minutes

I am curious about the Ookyo unlimited 4 apps plan, I wonder if you select reddit or facebook that have build in browser and open a link, does it utilise the unlimited plan or just used up the 8gb given by ookyo?
*
QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Jan 8 2019, 11:40 AM)
Did you even search the thread?

Reports say using the unlimited. I haven't noticed, since those sort of browsing doesn't use much data.
*
yes it will use the fb pool (4 apps selected).

But for those for whom it works (e.g. myself, also others here on this thread) it's great. So much data, and the cheapest way to use Maxis' line (still the best coverage once you take into account congestion, IMO).

Customer support is hit and miss (mostly miss), which is consistently mentioned in this thread. Hence why recommended to port to hotlink before porting in to ookyo, for e.g.

Obviously if I had the same problem you're experiencing with 'base plan' I'd be super pissed as well. Do complain to MCMC also. But take note that most would not encounter such a problem, and that if got no technical issue this is one of the better low-cost options.
*

agree but slightly turn off because of a lot of minor errors here and there.

and

need to talk to robot to flag a ticket and takes 1-2hrs for a reply.

So far so good. My wife and dad is on ookyo now.

i wouldnt dare to introduce to my parents(not so tech kind parents). No hotline customer care, VPN need to auto kick in etc. Good for young lads or savvy tech people as cumbersome renew

For oldman. I think yoodo will be good. You can remote control the line for add on n change plan by log in the app using id n pwd. No need sms . Not like Hotlink
*
That's great. Much better than ookyo where their website is plain empty upon login. Can't manage or make any payments.

When you get into Maxis pay..use wifi.. After successful paid..use data..

I'm using their ookyo data & house(unifi) both failed to reach MaxisPay site. Some malfunctioned happens behind.

QUOTE(il0ve51 @ Feb 25 2019, 12:05 AM)
ya totally fked up. when under grace period and no wifi access. it is impossible to reload money using the "grace data" they should have make ookyo app internet free and maxis webpay dataless for ookyo user. even umobile grace data have better speed than maxis.
*
In grace period i was unable to do payment(renew) using ookyo line. Yes they should allow their customer to use unrestricted data/speed in their app functions(buy, renew, payments, etc). This should be a mandatory service to be rendered.

Most telco did not have internet while in grace period. Include digi n hotlink

Hotlink CLAIMS to allow free access to their Red app. In my experience doesn't work.
*
telco should grant access to their app in grace period else its a hassle to made online payments. especially MVNO where need to do payments online.

DiGi, hotlink, celcom does have physical topups then it should be not as hassle as MVNO
