May I get some clarification. Is it possible to convert my ookyo number to Hotlink?

Because I just went to a Maxis Center and asked to do so but apparently I can't. They said I need to change it to postpaid first. The cheapest is the Maxisone 98 which is a bit much.

Also I asked them if I could just MNP to another telco but they still said no. Must convert to postpaid. Thats the only way possible.

My question is, am I being scammed by the Maxis Center or what? Maybe the sales people just want to sell me stuff to meet their target.

Should I just MNP to another telco or stick with it. I want to keep the number as it is my main number.
