Hi all city drivers, i checked on the "Maintenance Pricing", the maintenance rarely above rm500, but why people tend to say honda service is more expensive than Toyota?

Hi all city owners...
I'm interested and looking into it. planning to go to the nearest showroom for a test drive this weekend.. My concerns as below: 1) Any other issues that i should know about this car?;CVT issue? 2) Spareparts wise, is it hard to find? Thanks in advanced for any feedback that i get. Cheers |
Hi all city owners... 1. There isn't any CVT that is perfect at the moment. Please be wary of the rubberband effect of the CVT gearbox. 2. Depending on luck, you may get rattling issues on panels and fixtures in the car interior. For me, only driver side dashboard somewhere have "nyek nyek" noises when going rough surfaces. 3. Gap issues on body work. My boot gap on right is bigger than the left side. 4. Spareparts should be no problem - how many GM6 + GM6 FL on the road haha All in all, there are minor issues of QC if you can bear. You are potentially buying an all round packaged car. Don't mind me asking, what are you expecting from a sedan car? Any specific requirements? I have tested Almera vs Mazda 2 vs Vios vs City before deciding on City. Perhaps I can share construtively
I'm currently considering Vios and City. Regarding to the rubberband effect of CVT, is it similar to the jerking of CVT that found in Proton Saga? |

QUOTE(CalvinLGJ @ Aug 14 2018, 06:03 PM) Jerking on CVT? I am not sure what is the difference of Punch CVT of Proton vs Honda Earth Dreams CVT. I can say the power delivery of Honda's CVT is quite linear and no jerking, unless you engage S Mode. How about E vs E and G vs V? Which one better yaIn regards to Vios vs City (TRD vs V Spec): 1. 2 Airbags vs 6 airbags 2. 107hp vs 118hp 3. No ECO button vs have ECO button 4. Full disc brakes vs 2 front disc + 2 rear drum brakes 5. Halogen lights vs full LED lights 6. Front + rear parking sensors vs rear only sensors 7. VSC + TRC vs VSC only 8. Illuminated scuff leg plate + front foot lights vs None 9. 360 degrees parking cameras vs None 10. 506 litres bootspace vs 536 litres bootspace 11. Non-fold-able rear seats vs Fold-able rear seats 12. Sporty styling vs Elegant styling (disclaimer: subject to individual feel, may differ) 13. DVR (dashcam) as standard vs None (sendiri cari) 14. Tint + security film as standard vs None (sendiri cari) 15. 6 speakers vs 8 speakers 16. Nice HU vs Shit HU 17. Better QC vs so-so QC 18. Standard cabin space vs more legroom space The above listed are only difference between 2 cars. Both are not perfect and whichever you choose, you will need to compromise. Will still suggest you go showroom and test drive both. Test all gadgets/equipment and feel the drive of the engine + gearbox. |

QUOTE(CalvinLGJ @ Aug 15 2018, 02:57 PM) I was intro-ed to an SA in Kah Motor. My SA made sure the car QC was double checked. I guess thats why my rattling and gaps isn't as bad as some other people reported in this thread. Dunno what he did. But i know he promosed me 1st week June but the car was late by 1 week. So your car service at Kah Motors also? |

QUOTE(CalvinLGJ @ Aug 15 2018, 03:31 PM) I haven't reach 10k yet, but my 1k inspection was done in Kah Motor. The SC was nice tho, but the receptionist was stucked up and LCLY attitude. lol did they ask u to purchase "add ons" for service? My issue: called for inspection, receptionist said need to do booking. I still go in for my inspection and SC confirm inspection for 1k walk-in can because it is just checking and not servicing any parts. |

Visited Honda Showroom, SA said the price is likely to increase 5K, after that Honda might still give rebate 4K-5K.
