just sent my car for 1K inspection. First service experience with Honda not so good. I can see why they ranked last in recent J.D. Power Customer Service Index Study.

Even my previous experience with Perodua was much more pleasant. Will probably try a different branch next round.

Hi guys, need some advise here. Now me at honda sc, they told me my brake pad need to be replace, and i cost around 380-400bux..can i know can i do replacement at outside ? And which brand is recommended ? Tq

i dunno whether this is true anot, i rmb i read somewhere in LYN saying that bendix metal king titanium have potential to scratch your brake disks.

All the more reason need for upgrading rotors to cross-drilled & slotted ventilated type. 
And while ur at it, convert rear drum brakes to disk type too.

I have been to some really bad Toyota SC and a really good Proton SC. Servicing experience in Malaysia is really a hit or miss no matter what brands. B4 go, I try research user feedback and reviews on some SCs, then select one and go find out myself. If not good, I just change.

For my City, alredi I did 2 services in 2 different SCs but for different reasons.

Changed stock cabin (dust & pollen) filter to charcoal type.
Also, during engine oil selection, I asked the SC Advisor which oil can last me for next 10k service, and he told me mineral oil also can. I was like  then I chose full synth since its only Rm30 above semi-synth. Probably made him happier that I did.

Mineral oil lasting 10k km mileage, ini pun boleh?

TRW dtec good? If budget above 100 leh.. Got any other option? Or dtec is good for normal driving?

One of my Osram NBU bulb just died... So fast kaput just after 6 months

For me I every weekdays early morning and night will switch on.. Average per day is 1.5 hours. The lifetime for this bulb is halves of standard halogen bulb stated in the box.

Gonna use back my ori standard bulb liao...

Such short lifespan and also price is not cheap, these high powered halogens just dont seem worth the money. Ever thought to consider use LED bulbs instead?

I think is decent, osram NBU got shorter life but cheaper bit than Philip XV but do u got LED bulb recommendations?

1-2 years ok lah, but if only 6 months then kong really not worth it. I still thinking to change LED, but forumer Vannus has made the change. Looks just as bright as those NBU & phillips but there's a sharp cut off line where the beam stops.

Rm90+ is both front brake pads (TRW DTEC) without installation right? Is the part number GDB7786DT? Do u bring it to workshop to install?

Thanks for your reply. Do u plan to change your rear brake shoes to TRW DTEC? Mine is wearing out soon so seeking some advice. The TRW DTEC rear brake shoes should be able to fit in our Honda brake drums, right?

Yeah, not much info on the official TRW DTEC for our car. I doubt is DTEC.

SC charge about RM400+ for everything include brake servicing which very expensive
