Is it okay to use drinking distilled water like the ones from Spritzer or any other brands? or we can just use RO water from SeaMaster for mixing it up with antifreeze car coolant?

actually if u plan to mix it with coolant, tap water also works
because coolant itself is actually anti-rust
distilled water is if u want to pour it straight into the radiator without adding any coolant

What chemical? The battery water sold in shop for refill is just plain distilled water. Batteries are sold either wet (with water in side) or dry (supplied with battery water). The battery water that comes with dry type is 30~59% sulfuric acid in water. This is only one time fill. After that the top up battery water. The more pure one is double-distilled water. The best would be deionized water which has highest purity.

Normal tap water will shortened battery life but can be use in case of emergency smile.gif

Shouldn't use water to replace coolant, even RO, distilled or any type of water. Water is corrosive and damage water pump over long run.

Emergency? Just use it laugh.gif

battery water are SUPPOSED to be distilled water(last time)
now its kinda added with some chemical to prolong the battery

many who work at those battery water factory did say they did added some stuff into it
not sure but i think u can use it, no harm..just watch for rust for the 1st few week
if no rust thn no issue
but the best is still 50% water 50% coolant for long lasting peace of mind effect

So last time when they said battery water very acidic to the extent we shouldn't be in contact with it, it's a myth? Lol

Distilled water had been tested as 'slightly' acidic ..........
It's a myth that we shouldn't be in contact with it, as we do with oranges, lime etc.

Battery water is for battery. For radiator should not use water because water cause rusting. Coolant sold in concentrate or diluted ready to use. Read instruction. Dilution is still using water but coolant has rust prohibition substance.

I can say battery water mostly deionized water. Adding some substance in process is possible to purify water

coolant is basically anti-rust, so using tap water is fine
ratio is 50/50
