this game is meant to be played offline, aka, single player game. only their dlc that has an option for you to play with others online. but still playable with one player.

i dont think there's any dif between r2 r3. but better get r3 to avoid any difficulties. i think the royal pack includes all the dlc from the past with new features / dlc. so yeah, get that.

about offline, since my ps4 is always connected to internet 24/7, i cant really be 100% sure about it being played offline aka without internet connection but it should be ok after you install and update it to latest patch.
