let say i as a rider want to use the pinpoint function and pinpoint to a location such as below. how do u guys actually search the place that i had pinpoint? will your driver apps automatically navigate to the place i had pinpoint or u actually hv to find it manually in waze?

p/s: just want to know how your driver apps works so i can put my drop off location as accurate as possible and makes it easier for both driver and rider.

My experience - Uber pin point location ok, just tag where u are and is accurate

Grab - Don't use that pin point function, confirm run away and driver confirm cannot locate your exact location. Key the address in is much better.

GRAB pinpoint function will run even when u have pointed the exact place, use with caution

ic... so no matter where i pinpoint my location like somewhere along the street, driver can still find me right? thanks. sometimes the place i need driver to pick up is too big and sometimes jam. so i rather wait for them at any main street easier.yeah i noticed grab pinpoint location not accurate. so far haven't use it.

yeah tried to pinpoint a location once with grab. when i checked back the place i tagged, it moved to opposite of the street lol. luckily haven't book yet.

Uber will automatically set the pinpointed location as a destination for driver to pickup the rider. It will directly send info to waze, googlemap and other nav app if the driver uses the nav apps. Just inform driver of your exact location e.g. bus stop, coffee shop, mcd etc. using in-app messages.
