see FLOM for an example, the bags are top of the line money can buy, but seriously those stuffs are for people with odd tastes.

it's like buying a rm30k plastic tote bag. you may think it's cool, pool people might be impressed, most people just see you as crazy & too much money.

this usually happens to people whom grew up poor but always desired expensive stuffs, 1 day they finally struck gold or become successful, you see their odd taste, but they usually just buy things based on price tag.

Usually people who HAS this kind of mentality are people who do not have extra cash to spend on stuffs that people would call a luxury.

Something that you think is ugly might actually be beautiful to another person hence the saying beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Of course that thing if its ugly as fuck and people would still buy, to the normal commoner it would never make sense. Was it bought because it was out of neccessity, beauty ?( to which the commoner who could not afford would always thought it was a bad choice), or was it because that person actually possess the ability to own such a thing which a commoner or poorfag will never get to understand?

To the commoner or poorfeg it's stupid but to the ultra rich it is just a pick of a salt that they live and is just a tiny part of their perhaps, everyday consumable.

That's why the poorfeg will never get to understand the ultra rich and it is the ultra rich's least intention to understand the commoner. That is also why the ultra rich will never mix with the poorfeg because of their different views and perspective.

It's not the design that dictates as class. It was all along the ability to acquire something without flinching ( even though it was ugly as fuck to u) that, itself is class.

Your views dictates that you do not understand this logic and that is why, you like the rest of the commoner or in a more degradatory term, the "poor feg "will always have a mindset like the rest of the poorfegs.

i mean you look at FLOM handbags, i'm not lady so i'm not into handbags, but from my honest POV most of them look expensive, that is just about it. does it look good? well, not really unless you match them with night dinner gowns i guess. would it look out of place, awkward or just plain ugly in public? most likely.

same as Jimmy Choo's shoes, no offense, he makes Malaysia proud, but most of the design, really only suited for certain events. if you wear Jimmy Choo's shoes in shopping mall or restaurants, unless you are good looking those pair of shoes just gonna make you look rich but classless.

you can buy all the expensive stuffs, but if you lack the taste to match them properly so they not just compliment each other but also suit the environment you are going, i can tell you this, unless you carry a generic branded luxury goods that can be easily spotted (and also suspected as fakes) by sales person, they will not layan you coz despite you wearing rm300k outfit & accessories you will just look like pasar malam uncle.

but of course, there are many expensive things that still looks good, but Malaysians generally lack sense in style, so they can only compensate by buying most expensive stuffs they can afford.

but the 1st impression people have on you is your look. if you can't even dress up properly, well, it'd take alot more substance & character to make a good impression.

if you just wear expensive stuffs but looks cheap because you choose the wrong outfit, or bad match, or out of place dressing, you will instantly give people a rich but cheap impression. meaning you have money, but couldn't bother to put any effort in dressing yourself, so you aimed for the most expensive stuff you can get.

this is more common in Asia, because lower buying power of general population, which includes the salesperson who is serving you. in the west, most salesperson are equipped with basic knowledge of dressing up, if the client has no fashion sense and ask the salesperson to find something that suits them, the salesperson will try their best using their judgment, in Asia, they just find you few sets of most expensive "latest" fashion let you choose.
