You'll get better with time and practice, don't worry. I guess another thing you could do to speed up the learning process is to have a mini pet project, e.g. creating media server with linux on raspberry pie or something

There are plenty of question banks on the internet for RHCSA I think, you can practice answering those as well

Linux is already a matured OS. With most company goes for cost cutting, open source is still a better option.

Outside desktop, Im slowly moving to BSD.

Maybe one day if there is such thing as year of BSD desktop Im moving out there as well.
