Menu screens



Initial firmware out of the box, the menu was all in Chinese only.

Luckily firmware v0.6.4.2444 and above, the menu has English and Chinese.




Latest firmware is v0.6.8.2522 released on 09/15/2017

Mi Home app



Unable to access the settings screen as it will get forced disconnect from the Mijia Action Camera.


Will be using Samsung Evo+ 64GB UHS3 for the recordings

I think can as the Mi Home app is also available on iOS...

Did you set the Mi Home app region in China ? Usually, that's the case. Once you're connected to the Mi Home app, it will prompt that there is a firmware update.

Another way is to manually update the firmware by downloading from my dropbox firmware v0.6.7.2541 which was released on 20/9/2017

Also, you'll need a UHS3 micro SD card as using a slower micro SD card, the update will fail.

Unzip the fimrware.bin file to the root directory of the micro SD card. Put into the Mijia action cam, turn on and will prompt firmware update file detected. Click on the right button to update the firmware. The left button is to cancel the firmware update.

The Mijia action cam will reboot and the front led will flash when updating. Once the led stops, the Mijia action cam will boot up. The first thing it will ask you to choose the language.

I think the waterproof case is coming soon. They just launch the gimbal selfie stick for the Mijia action cam.
