im going to graduate from PhD soon ..
but i wanted to become policeman ...
a lot of relatives & friends said that if i wanted to become police.. then i shouldnt even need to study degree ..
i should have joined the police after pmr/spm ..

so i wanted to ask if i become police with PhD / Master / Degree .. any differences?
or its doesnt matter how high is my education .. my rank will be the same?
i should giv up instead?

There is a different becoming policeman with SPM and with a degree. With SPM, you start from the very bottom, private level. With a degree, you can start from Officer level and climb up all the way to IGP level (if you strive hard enough).

how bout master / PhD?
starts at same level with degree also?

might get better pay-grade but depend on what is your expertise in degree or master level...

I'm not a policeman but as far as I know with Degree you will straight jump to Inspector level (INSP) which better salary than entry level fresh graduate in private industry.

With PHD, might be you'll get more or jump to education lah.

Your friend dont know s*it. Degree holders entering police force will get Inspector and entering army will get Captain. If SPM become low level ranks only.

If want become IGP need to be ahjib's BFF only can.

engineering also can join polis or atma..
a lot machinery need to take care...
last remember degree engneering got pegawai kejuruteraan atma..
still need to do patrol basic bla blaa..kepala botak..muka hitam..fit and muscular...
tp u will be specialist in engneering...

you will start with inspector but higher pay grade.

i dunno about police, but for military, if you have phd, instead of the normal intake, you can go for the "ikhtisas" in take where you will work base on your specialty instead of normal task.

better go ask if police also got this ikhtisas thing or not, because they offer better rank & salary.
