As the cash back pool is much smaller compared to previous campaign, it would be safer to complete all 10 transactions by Tuesday noon. During previous campaign, I always completed 8th transaction on Wednesday though, but the cash back pool was larger last time.

Apart from that, Shopee allows only 4 transactions made via the same card within 24 hours. Therefore, it is impossible to just rely on Shopee transactions for the current RM50/10x campaign. Furthermore, a few unreliable bill payment dealers in Shopee tend to cancel transactions.

A few reasons:
1) Inactive dealers - their postings were outdated (i.e. no longer provide that service or not enough "stock")
2) Dealers' credit card monthly/weekly cash back quota has finished (they use credit cards to make bill payment too)
3) Ignorant dealers - almost all bill payment dealers are part-timers (some of them take long time to check orders until overlook expiration dates)
4) Fake/Unethical dealers - purposely create postings to obtain contact details from customers (*disclaimer: I do not rule out this possibility because you may receive tons of spam messages after revealing your private information)

Nevertheless, some bill payment dealers are really good and ethical, providing discount to customers.

Absolutely right. Based on my experience with Shopee bill payment dealers, successful past experience (even previous week) with the same dealer doesn't guarantee the same result for current week. Therefore, always chat with sellers first before making orders.

To be safe, I always make Shopee transactions after 3pm on Monday.

It is because the payment gateway, CyberSource is located in San Francisco. Malaysia @3pm = San Francisco @12am.

What was roughly the timing when you made the transactions on 7th Aug? Were the transactions made via Shopee, or online transactions with overseas payment gateway?

No. I want to know the transaction types, whether they were transactions with overseas payment gateway.

Thanks for the information. Shopee uses CyberSource which is based in US as the payment gateway. This explains why you still received cash back for your Shopee transactions done on Thursday at 12am++. Trasaction date shall be recorded as Wednesday then.

Based on our previous experience, we can say that under normal circumstances, cash back quota finishes by Wednesday. But we have no idea whether it is AM or PM.

I managed to get back the cash back during one of the earlier campaigns. PBB was kind enough to approve it after I appealed via email. From that time onwards, I make sure that I do Shopee transactions after 3pm every Monday.

Since the campaign requires 10x RM50 transactions for RM50 cash back, you can’t just rely on Shopee transactions for this round of campaign. Alternatively, you may take risk and complete all your Shopee transactions by Wednesday, if you don’t have non-Shopee transactions.

RM50 Week 15 cash back received. I took the risk by fulfilling the last 10th transaction on Thursday that really paid off.

Culprit is MBPP - government related payment.

You could never get the answer as nobody would take the risk to purposely spend so late for the CB campaign. As for the previous CB campaign, I did get RM50 CB and my last transaction was completed on Thursday morning. However, that was done during “low season” when everyone was having “wait and see” attitude for the long-awaited CB to be reflected in their online accounts.

Were all the 8 transactions done using the same card?
