Tried applying for Visa Signature for a family member via ringgitplus by pledging FD with the branch. Also emailed ringgitplus explaining to them I did that. According to CS when I called them , should not be a problem.

QUOTE(saitong09 @ Nov 13 2017, 07:36 PM) 20k + 35k Yup I know all that. I have my own plan to make full use of the cards. My expenses alone monthly is super high. And after due calculations , it’s much more worth it for me to get the cards by pledging FD. As it is the 35K and 20K would be lying idle in my savings accounts. So might as well let these amounts do little work for me and at the same time help me reap the most out of my expenditures. |

QUOTE(babienn @ Nov 13 2017, 09:20 PM) Since pledging FD is also locking your fund for a certain period, why not just place the money into a promotional fixed deposit rate (>4%) instead of lying it idle in your saving accounts? You will earn much more than cashback from PBB cards. When I apply , I’ll apply for principal plus 5 or 6 supplementary card’s together. I involve my family members in the expenses of the household. Coupled with the 6x/10x weekly rewards , I stand to get 15-16% cashback per principal card. Just curious. So in a year , the amount I save from my otherwise routine expenses , is worth a lot compared to whatever I get from placing those funds in FD. Besides , there are enough funds in FD. QUOTE(Nom-el @ Nov 14 2017, 06:54 PM) Why do you need to pledge separately to get the cards? Is this a requirement from PBB? I don't know about PBB but for some banks, if sharing the same credit limit, can apply for multiple cards using a single FD pledge. So that I can reap more benefits from the cashback and the rewards 6X/10X promo. Using 2 individuals is better than 1 in terms of maximising the rewards. |

Bros and Sisters , based on everyone's experience here, the PB Bank cash rewards promo has been around for a long time? I only got introduced to this 5X/10X and 6X/10X cash rewards promo in the last 8 months.
I am asking this because I want to know whether this rewards campaign will continuously be replaced with newer ones once the 21 weeks is over each time. This post has been edited by drbone: Dec 7 2017, 07:03 PM |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Dec 7 2017, 08:03 PM) here's what i tracked for the recent swipe campaigns. there are other older campaigns before, i just skipped those here. Hopefully not. Thanks for the info though."Get Rewarded" was a bonus whereby it was published before "Swipe More" ended.
i just dreaded Jan 2018 would come those swipe with RM200/500/1000 (e.g. 1 Million CB Campaign), whereby weekly quota depleted within Mon-Tue! for those 5x/10x swipes, at least there are more chances for others, even until Wed-Thu swipes still eligible for the week. you sure? ![]() |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Dec 13 2017, 08:08 AM) that is why smart ones avoid pledging for cc. if possible, get the normal way. else use other cards/banks. keep your cash for better use elsewhere. That's where you are wrong. For individuals who have very high expenditure, with the proper knowledge and know how, the pledge FD option to get another principal card under another family member is actually a wise move. So what may seem foolish to you is actually brilliant to others who know how to maximise and utilize the card.no issues with aeon big or tesco electronics section. they have single mcc anyway.
